Sure would love to see these trains running in Ridgway CO on a rebuilt section of the RGS or a rebuilt Ouray branch. Several Billionaires have play ranches in the area and just hoard money rather than invest it in the community. Glad the trains are preserved, but it would better if they could be running in the context of where they ran originally or close, if possible.

346 is 'property' of the Colorado Railroad Museam, currently, she's undergoing a FRA mandated maintince overhaul, also there are several examples of what you just described in the state, most famously The Silverton

Having visited there a few years ago, from Washington State, I can attest to the quality of this museum. One of the best on narrow gauge. Although we were unable to ride the train we were able to witness the firing process of the locomotive. A personal highlight was the static display of one of the original Pikes Peak Rwy steam locomotives. A must see for any rail fan.

They are planning a triple header at the museum this year. It will be a first for the museum. If you want to see the Pikes Peak cog railway under steam see my other video here kzitem.info/news/bejne/p5uXtpupfXiiiHo

whats the boiler in primer belong to at 2:47 ?
@travelingtom923

It has been there a long time and I do not believe it is part of a complete locomotive. It may have been a boiler that was used as a stationary boiler for a company.

Boiler originally intended for #111 on the Georgetown Loop. Was (apparently) made to inadequate standards, and therefore not used in her eventual restoration.

I totally agree. They really need to move that museum to another location where they have more room. I told them for years they should have bought out Heritage Square in Golden when they had the chance.

Dumb mis-count from me. Should be 4-WHEEL or TWO-axle. Duh! Still a charming little anachronism.
