Hey, Jaw Tooth❗Another good video. Thanks for making some of the BEST train videos‼I also appreciate you standing WELL CLEAR as trains pass and keeping yourself SAFE✅ Some RR video makers don't seem to understand that a loose wire or slinging-free piece of RR equipment can cut a person in half from a moving train if they stand too close to the railbed‼😱 Plz continue to stay safe as you bring us along to view the trains and action that you find. God Bless & GREAT work‼👍🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

The Norfolk Southern train coming up The Hill in Crescent City, Kentucky was working hard to pull its train up The Hill. The engineer of the CSX train who had the problem with his lead engine was lucky to have two mid-train DPUs on his train to help him move his train. The end of train DPU on the Norfolk Southern train that you caught at the end of the video was working hard. You go to Crescent Springs, Kentucky on the Norfolk Southern line from Cincinnati, Ohio to Chattanooga, Tennessee on a regular basis. Why have you not taken us to see the CSX line that comes out of Cincinnati, Ohio to Louisville, Kentucky? Is the CSX line not as hilly or accessible to view?

Liked the hard working hill drama. Sounds like the faulty lead engine might've been built by Boeing😊. There's a lot that happens in todays' diesels between the output from the alternator and the taction motors. 3 phase AC comes off of the alternator, is then converted to DC for more precise speed control and then back to AC with either square, sawtooth or sine wave form depending on the loading. Any issue in any of these steps causes problems. Excellent video, liked it a lot. Thanks JT!

Awesome catches! And that radio chatter about the problems with that locomotive was awesome, and rare. I was listening to my scanner one day while rail fanning St. Albans WV on the main line, and there was radio chatter from the CSX crew talking to a maintenance crew about brake problems on a locomotive. I imagine it was to do with the air brakes, probably had a busted line, and they couldn’t build air to release the brakes. At the end of it, one of them said “Thank you General Motors!” Lol and that indicated to me that this was an EMD locomotive they were dealing with lol.
