My dad bought the camp at Trio Creek from Snider and Chittenden in 1965 and worked it for a couple years before selling to Joe Gust, who had been a faller at Pretty's Bear Creek camp. I learned to drive at age 12 in a war surplus Jeep on the roads behind the camp. I spent one summer in camp, and remember us running up the lake in the speedboat (413 Chrysler), sometimes stopping at Buster McCombs' camp at 10 mile for pie at the cookhouse. Best possible life for a 12 year old.

I recall when it was a goat trail go 2:58 ing up tp Spring Creek, went to 20 Mile Bay often to fish, mostly from H H Springs by boat, the 2 Pretty Timber Camps were still standing but shut down. Nice Country. Worked a few times at Spring Creek, and Pretty Timber

Love the content! Loaded by a button top . I ran a heal boom or juicer and a little bit of power clam but never the button. Good video!

On my way to Sloquet Creek hotsprings about a month ago I met 2 trucks going south. Luckily I was on straight sections of the road and could pull over. A good reason to not be speeding.

Caring loader operator or he is putting on a show on loading. Very good looking roads also. Lots of great road base, solid. Where I hauled logs in idaho rarely do we have roads like that. All dirt, very narrow. Those trucks and large trailers would be near impossible in 90% of jobs.

Operator is top notch, very meticulous. This company builds and improves most roads we work off of. So they are always in great condition.

Not that way here. If a pickup can get in an out or turn around its just fine.

@@joneyjimms1598 haha. That’s right😂. I bet the cycle times are based on them driving the pickups up and down the mountain too😅

Nice video, I have a question for you, how many hours do you work in a day or what is the hours for most log haulers? Thanks Brent

Could be 8 could be 15. Average 12-14hrs with well organized outfits. Opinions may very. But that’s my experience. 👍😎
