I got a magic keyboard and ended up returning it because wanted an iPad not a cosplaying MacBook. This seems like a much better solution.

I know from experience that it is much simpler to use a non-rechargeable keyboard that uses replaceable batteries. 36 months... that's great. So I don't think it's a negative thing. I recently returned the case with the keyboard and trackpad, it is much more practical to use a separate keyboard for the tablet. Great review.

You have like 3 years until you need to replace the battery. That seems really good

@@goudendynamiethd2117 Once every three years, is it a problem for you to unscrew two screws and replace the battery? Well, it's a bigger problem for me to charge the keyboard for 2 hours every 2-3 weeks. But ok, someone just likes it that way, and that's fine with me.

This is the only English review of this keyboard I could find on KZitem today and I’m glad it was you. Love it. I use a Zugu case on my new iPad so this seems like the perfect thing to be able to throw in my bag with it for when I need to get some work done. I was debating using MX keys mini with a separate case for that but this is way simpler. Your reviews are always great!

2:40 to me it is an advantage that it is not rechargeable and the amount of energy it uses, this will last for months and months, you simply can replace the battery and recycle it vs an embedded proprietary Logitech battery that with use will degrade and pretty much make this a paperweight when that battery dies

Nice review! One of the benefits of a keyboard such as this is compatibility with future devices. One downside of keyboard cases is having no need for them if upgraded devices are no longer compatible.

The Magic Keyboard is great but is sooooo heavy and you can't fold it to the back, so if I want to hold it in portrait mode, I need to take the slippery iPad out. Realllllly bad. I loved the old folio keyboard I had with the iPad pro 2018. It was much cheaper and lighter. And I don't need a trackpad anyway. I ordered it and hope it'll be good. The v1 has mini USB which is much better though than these small batteries that could run out when I'm in Africa and have no access to batteries or screwdrivers.

It weighs half as much. With such small tolerances R&D costs increase, as well as the fact that they just cornered the market for a portable high end keyboard.

@@wkghrs Yeap, i mean, for sure it is a better keyboard overall, my point was just that, it is too near of the mx keys mini price to be on the table. but for sure it is better to get 2 options in market than 1, and the costumers choice what they prefear.

On the iPad if you press Command + H you can use that as a shortcut to return to the Home Screen as well. Thanks for the review; very helpful. Seems like a nice product. The three device pairing is so handy.

Ability to replace batteries is a great option! Changing the batteries once every 3 years is much less hassle than thinking about charging every few weeks, plus batteries degrade over time, and you end up with an expensive paper weight instead of having a keyboard that can serve you for years and years! Great thinking Logitech, every manufacturer should incorporate user replaceable batteries in their products.

Great looking video and nice demo. Question, I have one as well. Did you not have any issue with the spacebar? Mine on the lower side and to both the left and right side over the entire height the space bar it doesn't feel als 'fluid'. It's fine if you only type on the space bar in the middle on the higher side, but apart from that, not so much. You seem to have a pretty hard way of typing, so you might not notice it. But when he stroke the keys in a lighter way, the feedback is terrible on my KTG2 and sometimes it doesn't even register the keystroke.
