If you don't mind potentially damaging your table a friend of mine uses self-adhered Velcro strips to keep his stick and throttle from moving. I'm looking to get a set up for Star Citizen and Star Wars Squadrons. I'm really torn between using a HOTAS system or dual sticks. This x52 looks great though. it's definitely on my want list.

I do the exact same thing. It won't damage your desk if you use a heat gun to remove. But I use the hook and loop strips that are plastic feeling because they have hook and loop on each side and you just use two to secure it. Works better than standard velcro.

Is the base weighted enough that it's not lifting and sliding all over a desk without sticking it to the surface? Are the suction cups enough?
@RogjosGamingGadgets

The base is pretty light, it may slide slightly if not suctioned to the surface. I think the suction cups should hold pretty good.

I mean, 16m is a lot better, way better. But I'm not gonna buy one because fuck them, they should have hired at least 1 fucking artist like wtf is that design. It looks like a 5$ toy from gas station, I just can't stand looking at that thing. Also who the fuck thought putting buttons in the base of the stick is a good idea. IDC man if i have to buy 10 x52-56's im gonna do that, Im not gonna buy that ugly horrendously designed thing just because it's more reliable.

I dunno, some people seem to have reliability issues with the t16k as well. I need a hotas and i'm torn between that one and the x52 pro, and for a lot of the reasons you mentioned (looks too much like a toy). On the flip side the rudder paddles on the throttle might be the deciding factor.

No. There are very few hotas compatible with the XBone (i know because i was looking for one that might work with the xbox but gave up). Hotas One is the only one i know of, and for anything over casual sim it's not really suitable. There's the Tuetle Beach Velocity One but that's a yoke and it's expensive.

I do not believe so. I think only specific hardware will work on the PS4, and likely only a combined unit, something like the Thrustmaster T1600m. I haven't used a console in many years though, so I'd suggest careful research. Hope you found a solution 👍
