No, Loki stayed there because his aura was extracted from the timeline and his home timeline is now the TVA. It's interesting how Loki's time slipping has changed, since before it was violent, and his entire body moved forward and backward in time, meaning there could be two of him in the same place. But now, when he controlled it, the time slipping wasn't violent or glitchy. Instead of a future version of himself appearing at the exact same moment, it's more like he's mind is time slipping into a past version of himself. Which is really cool.

Its also worth noting that when Loki time slipped into time theatre 25, the chairs were empty, but also the soundtrack that played when he time slipped into that room was the same soundtrack that played when season 1 Loki saw himself being killed by Thanos, which could be why present Loki gives a strange look in the direction of the screen.

I’m still suspicious that they won’t stick this ending. I think this season has been a breath of life for the MCU (which was seemingly on its last legs) but I get an ominous feeling as the final episode approaches. I really hope they don’t fumble the end, because this has been so enjoyable so far. It’s obvious the writers have put thought and care into this story, which is so much more than what Marvel has been giving as of late. Crossing my fingers!!

Has the idea of OB being a Kang Variant been thought about? He knows all there is to know about the TVA, Temporal Loom and well everything. He could be a variant that was over powered by He Who Remains and had his memory wiped and left in the TVA with his knowledge to make sure everything is kept in check, if something ever did happen to the timelines. Just a thought.

Loki is definitely inspired by Agent of Asgard series. Loki is the superior one out of all his variants. Since he can control the time slipping now, he can actually travel the multiverse by will. I think Loki is gonna play a big role in Kang dynasty, Secret Wars and Avengers because he did recruit the avengers in the comic and it will be a multiverse war with all the variants of heroes and Kang variants. Loki is a God and may be the only one that can go up against Kang. Also, maybe he might takeover the TVA. Lastly, I wouldn't be surprised if Renslayer is a variant to Kang

Because he is a variant. O.B kinda gave us a hint with him saying that Loki needed to prune himself so they could extract him from the timeline. He is really outside of of time, he doesn’t fit into it and I think that’s why he goes in and out of it. Something he does unintentionally

One of my favorite things is that Across the Spiderverse (maybe coincidentally) visually portrayed the multiverse how the end of Loki does. As a tree sprouting upwards into a wide branching multiverse, then with a web weaved within those branches. Thought it was a little weird that it was portrayed so similar to Loki season 1 but slightly different. Now it matches the end of Loki Season 2.

I absolutely love that loki is starting to turn into the god of stories, but I am a little confused on how he’s able to to control his time slipping, I think it’s related to him wanting to live, like sylvie did, to write his own story, which is connected to the innate loki trait of surviving, and of course his self reflected motivation of not wanting to be alone, but I feel it’s more than that. Anyone got any further inputs to help me out lol

I think Loki has been controlling his time slipping from the very start. It's just that now he's started to do it consciously and before he's been doing it subconsciously, so he wasn't even aware of doing it. Loki is chaotic, and so is his subconscious mind. He kept wanting to go to his friends, so his subconscious was bringing him to them.

The thing that got me excited is that Loki's Time Slipping is now linked to Cable's Time Sliding. We've already seen in this season that the time slipping can change temporal events, like OB suddenly learning things from Loki talking to his past self. But this episode shows Loki "slipping" into a previous incarnation of himself with all his knowledge intact, just as Cable does when he "slides" into himself in the cab. Deadpool 2's time travel is now shown to be fundamentally different from the quantum tunnel time jump of Endgame.

At the very beginning of the episode, before the credits and loki going through the TVA, the ep showed the scene in the last episode of season 1, where he who remains says: "Every path you took, I paved the way" (or something like that). I believe that that alone explains his "convinient" time slipping to meet his friends.
