I have just returned from a weeks holiday in Llangwm and enjoy a pint in a pub on the northern bank of the Cleddau by the bridge and enjoyed watching the sail boats . Thanks for reminding me of lovely Pembrokeshire.

really enjoyed that, I have to collect a scrap yacht from Llangwm Pill and tow it to Neyland on Wednesday, 7.5m tide and was a bit worried about what conditions on river were like.. I have scoured charts, Reeds and Milford pilot book, but a video is so much better. I will be setting off from Neyland at 6.00am with tow boat, and hope to punch last hour of flood tide to be back at or just after high water (9.00)am, hope that sounds like a good plan.

Sounds like a good plan - would give you a hand but working sorry. Weather and tides look good but strong mid tide.

@@ecofly thank tim, again for the video & the comment. Traveling from Whitby Yorkshire tomorrow, as you say weather looking good, tides a bit iffy, if you see this and comment before 6am Tuesday do you know how fast the tide will be during last hour of flood (above the bridge)

I have had a "Tiller Clutch" for the past 30 years and it has followed me around from boat to boat. To avoid the rope becoming slack as you move the tiller, the two rope fastening positions should be the same distance from the rudder fittings as the Tiller Clutch is from the rudder fittings. In other words, the two fastening positions and the Tiller Clutch lay on the circumference of a circle whose centre is the rudder fittings. Looking at your boat this could be the forward end of the aft mooring cleats, or considering the height of the tiller most probably be the middle section of your pushpit. Many thanks for your video, I am originally from Milford Haven but now sail on the muddy waters of the Bristol Channel so some more videos of you sailing on The Haven would be appreciated.

Seems to work fine where it is and Lola sails herself in certain directions. Much easier than messing with the auto pilot for quick jobs such as sails up down etc... Will try to make more videos this summer, but Lola for sale and i'm switching to a Swallow Bayraider trailer sailor, so will be from a lower height! Cheers, Tim.

The last hour of flood is ok but the bridge area and the left side of the bend above the Bridge can get a bit swirly on a big tide. Its all manageable and great if you are going with it! Be aware Wales is still locked down on the borders till 12th April earliest unless you have good reason for travel.....

Hi Tim, I noticed recently that Lola is now for sale. Any chance we could have a quick chat about her? Thanks, Dan (Milford Haven).

@@helidan5536 you would need to ask Neyland Marina - my contract with them ends 31st Aug. Berth O3. Upper basin.

Dan i have renewed my contract for the marina berth so yes a marina berth is available for Lola for the new owner if required - would need to take over the contract and payments on ad hoc basis.

Nice video. Good choice of music. How's that Tiller Clutch working for you? It looks v. useful. Is it the larger 'keelboat' version? I'm thinking of fitting the smaller version to a dinghy so I can handle all three sails myself.

It’s great - one of my best investments. Yes the larger of two models. Cheers, Tim.
