The presentation was kinda forced (poor commercial advertising and with lot of repetition)... and... how is your favorite if it got 8 of 10? Definitely not your best movie but we all have some uninspired days.

I was getting somewhat heavy grain shooting it @640 ISO (just a tad overexposed). You wanna tell me pushing it +1 stop- won't introduce @ lot of grain or too much contrast?

Totally agree! I've been using the Lomography 800 for a while now, both 35mm and 120. I think I actually prefer it to the Portra 800. Certainly when you take the price into account.

I've been using the Lomo 800 a LOT for concert photography with my Canon AV-1 and 50mm/1.8f lens. It simply works well together, the sharpness is great, even with my prime lense. The colours really pop out, but they are not to extreme. And if you scan Lomo 800, slightly overexposed, it is pretty easy. My lab had no problems to the scans either and the guy from the lab was so surprised about this film, too. However, i would really like to know how it compares to CineStill 800T.

hi, how u doin? I’m really curious about that Lomo 800 shot with your Canon AV-1. I’m using AV-1 too and kinda hesitant to use my Lomo 800 bec it’s kinda pricey here in my loc.

@@trident6017 Hi, doing fine so far! Well, considering the lack of concerts and getting COVID myself just recently. Haven't shot Lomo 800 since 2019 due to that, and of course the prices went up a lot. I didn't use a lot CineStill 800T, but what i've learned: The light meter of the AV-1, at least on my unit, does tend to underexpose. That is especially nasty when it comes to, also expensive, Ektachrome 100. With Ektachrome, always "overexpose it", use the button on the left side next to the lens mount. CineStill needs more light than Lomo 800. Here is a photo gallery for which i have used Lomo 800: meetup.bronies.de/index.php/BronyCon-2019---Baltimore/chrodo---analog---BronyPalooza Scanned with my Nikon LS-2000. Pretty sure with some more editiing in Darktable / Lightroom, one can get better results.

I may be the odd man out here, but I don't love Portra anything. I'm an Ektar for slow and Fuji Superia 800 for fast type of person. Yes, Fuji is slowly backing out of the film business, they were king at one point and what they do still offer are really good film stocks.
