That’s one hell of a day trip. My Aunt used to live in Quainton and I’d go up to the windmill as a child. But it was all knackered in the 70’s. We should be spreading the word as to how it is possible to cover great distances under your own steam. Excellent effort.

I only saw the windmill from the distance as you saw but the whole place was looking pretty good when I passed through. Good that you could go up it. I’d have liked that when I was a kid. Good view from the top?

Thanks! Yes, if we all do a dance for spring maybe it’ll hurry up a bit and come sooner!

I try to find a park bench or churchyard to eat, but that's just me.

Yes, I'm with you there, Karl. The moment I spot somewhere that might have a tap, I'm there. Churchyards can be good. Sports grounds where they need to water the grass. Mind you, I'm not drinking so much in this weather we're having right now. Cheers for watching.

@@Verysimpleyetverydifficult Cheers, Neil, thanks for the support. I was out yesterday so hopefully will be posting another one soon. My word it's cold out there at the moment.

Hey LondonCenturies, I will have 2-3 free days for cycling in London mid next month. First time in UK. I am contemplating riding one of your rides: London to Cardiff(taking train back next day perhaps), London-Oxford-Cambridge-London, or London-Stonehenge-London. Which one would you recommend to me? Thank you very much

Well, if it’s your first visit to the UK, maybe seeing Oxford and Cambridge would be good, because they’re both quite nice places to visit and you get a mix of town and countryside. The only downside is that getting out of London to the west is usually fairly drab and boring, you need to avoid the Heathrow area somehow. Whatever you choose, have a great ride and feel free to leave a note here telling about your adventures! Bon route!

@@londoncenturies thanks. Would it make more sense to go counterclockwise then on that route?

Thanks Paul, it's a nice idea but I haven't found an easy way to do it (besides pointing people to my Strava) because you can't embed links in the description bit of a YT video. Unless I'm missing something. Try this: www.strava.com/activities/8167873924
