Thank you for sharing your beautiful roses with us. I live in Zone 9B and I'm thinking to get David Austin roses: Gertrude Jekyll and Claire Austin . Do you think they will thrive during the hot summer months if I plant them in full sun area?

Thanks for your comments. 1. General speaking, all roses are full sun plants. they will thrive under plenty of sun light if they get enough water in hot summer season. 2. In full sun, DA’s roses can produce abundant blooms, but may last less time than other rose varieties. Because DA roses have delicate and softer petals than others.

@@susanlyt Thanks for your reply. That’s my initial thought as well that it wouldn’t be an issue, considering roses typically thrive in sunny conditions. However, I noticed in the DA's catalog that Gertrude Jekyll is ideal for partial shade areas. And I also watched in your previous video, you planted it in a similar location. I’m just worried it wouldn’t be able to withstand the summer heat if I planted them in full sun.

@@MemoriesofJoy The plant itself should be no problem, just the blooms may get dry out within 1-2days in hot summer. under full sun, it can produce tons of blooms but shorter single bloom periods (However it can last a long bloom period in general because large quantities of blooms) under part sun, blooms will less but each bloom lasts longer. Hopefully I make it clear 😆😆
