Hope you enjoy your fishing….we tried to fish Killykeen last year ….unfortunately you can only fish the grassy bank …the match length has been closed off …unless you are staying in one of the Lodges 🤦♂️

Hi been watching your channel for awhile I find it informative just got back into fishing after many years away going to killeshandra in May first time irish fishing could you give some advice on bait please

Thank you 😊 I'd like to keep it simple, you don't have to complicate your fishing with having tons of different bait. Pinkies, maggots and casters is enough in the winter time. In warmer months I'm thinking about catching bigger fish so my hookbait is dendrobene or red worm with sweetcorn, or maggots and sweetcorn works really well, a bit of sweet ground bait to drag these fish in to your swim, that's all you need 👌

Hi Damien. Another nice vid. We will be over again 5th or12th May. See if we can find any bigger fish this time. Had a great time September, back to normal May next year. Will be fishing dernafest again, any idea what that area is like in May ?? Any chance of a spring time garadice. Have a great Xmas and new year. Hope to catch up with you next year. Cheers john 😃😃👍👍

Hi John, thank you 😊 Lough Gowna is great for feeder fishing but May could be tricky as fish may be gone for sponing , all depends on the weather, I would recommend Garadice 🤙

Hi mate, I've just started coarse fishing natural venues in Scotland,. Can I ask what the leam does to the mix, is it just to make it fluffy or does it do anything else to the ground bait and do you only use it in winter? thanks in advance for your help. Enjoy your vids very helpful.

Hello there,? Thank you 😊 It's a good question, I use leam almost all year round, more in winter 50:50 or even 2 parts of leam 1 part groundbait, in summer 2 parts of groundbait and 1 part of leam. Leam makes a cloud in the water especially when overweted, great when fishing for roach from the drop, and it helps not to overfeed the fish in winter 😉
