Another great film guys, keep up the good work. Also, I'm really impressed with your G7-BR2 rangefinder, I harvested a superb buck at 649y in Anticosti off a cold bore. Already looking forward to Montana in June where I'll be shooting Prairie Dogs out to 'very' long ranges with the 308 and 338.

Hello, on your long range shooting tips video which was a great informative video, I have a question. Have you noticed this degree of change in fps powder to powder to be the same? Or is Hogdons the only powder that is giving these stable results? Only reason I ask is because I have a great Hunting load worked up for my 300 wm but it is with IMR 4831, Would I be smart to switch to H4831 (which the manual says is around 4-5 grains heavier of a load)? Or would you say the IMR powder is showing similar results to Hogdons? Great video.

would you suggest following the book load or just doing a straight up exact same grain amount switching?

that's strange, usually hot ammo goes faster. it did the opposite they teach in sniper school.

If you did not have the technology you would never hit those deer and elk that far awaySo make a video without that technology

How would you make a video without technology?

Shooting animals at 897 yards should be frowned at, in my day you'd get laughed out of the state and no one would hunt with you.

I get what your saying and can surely appreciate your perspective and comment. However, you said one key thing “your day” which I’m assuming is some number of years ago. Think of it this way....in “your day” a diesel pickup didn’t have 400hp, a 1000ftlbs of torque and blew black smoke all the way up the mountain road, you/we rode Honda big red 3 wheelers instead of driving heated side by sides and you called your hunting buddy from a land line the night before to let him know you would be there at 4am to head up on the mountain. It’s the evolution of technology and the perspective of today’s reality. Some choose to fight it and some choose to use it. This can be said for a never ending list of things we use today. Neither way is right nor wrong and thank god we live in a country we can decide to use whatever we wish. Todd is one of those great human beings along with the others who not only chooses to use these products, but relies on them and others using them to feed his family. The beauty of being an American my friend. All the best.
