I bought this in 2012. Still working good. You just remind how old we are getting.

Absolutely the best video about these 1.5 ton jacks. You know all the potential worries and covered them all.

I bought mine about 9 years ago for 60.00 with a coupon. It has worked great and I use it where I shouldn't be. Picking up my 2006 GMC Yukon or the front of my 2018 Crew Cab Sierra. I always use jack stands. This jack is so lite, that I immediately reach for it, instead of the heavy 3 ton steel floor jack.

It's definitely a great jack. I definitely got more than what I paid for it. My craftsman jack failed a lot sooner than the Pittsburgh jack. Thank you for commenting 👍

I just picked one of these up today for $90. They will also be on HF parking lot sale from 3/5-3/12 for $89. It lifted at the rear diff of my father’s ‘18 Silverado 1/2 ton with ease.

Thanks for the vid. I used one of these jacks last week and the light weight and fast powerful function was incredibly surprising . It was old and beat up and worked perfectly

I’ve had mine since about 5-6 years. Bought it off a guy for $20. I thought it was defective. Because it stopped going up. So I took it home and topped off the oil. Been working ever since. Also one of the pistons stopped moving. So I took it out and cleaned it. It still works great. I keep it in my garage. I heard that the worst place to keep it is outside. But I love mine.

BY ALL MEANS- I would disassemble the pins and coat with grease for that squeak.... Aluminum against steel is pretty squeaky with no lube. And squeak= wear. Grease will stay in there. WD40 will get rid of the squeak for a bit but will not stay where you need it. I've had HF tools that were not properly greased on all of the pivots- many were greased, some were not. Thanks for a nice long term review... much more useful than box opening reviews.

I bought one of these because of your video. Thanks for the info, I really like his jack. I had one of those little trolley jacks and it didn't last a year.

Great video! I think maybe the squeaking noise is coming from the large pin above the springs. Squirt some wd 40 on all the pins and parts that pivot when raising and see if the squeaking stops.

Has the new version of this jack gotten Lighter? I had the old one and its definitely in the high 30lb range. The new one has the same 1.5ton capacity, but feels much lighter, like less than 20lbs!😮can anyone Weigh In on this? *Dad joke inserted*

I drove about 100 miles a day in the middle of nowhere and always get flat tires, is this light enough to keep in the trunk of my car?
@itsaboutfam

It's fairly light because it's aluminum. I take it with me on road trips just in case.

Very much obliged Sir Is it advisable just to only use for changing tires? Total weight of vehicle is 3,800 lbs. thanks so much stay blessed🫡🙏

If you're lifting the vehicle per corner this jack should be able to handle it. I would use caution though, and properly use a jack stand to support the weight of the vehicle when you do change the tire.
