And my youngest is in college 3 hrs away, so I only get to see him when he gets to come home on breaks. I wish I had money and a vehicle to be able to take trips to see them, but that’s not possible.

I'm sorry that you're having a hard time being an empty nester. But now's the time for you to enjoy your life. If you don't belong to a church there's always senior community centers where you can meet people and join in activities. There's volunteer work that you can do both with humans and with animals (they always need help walking dogs). Just reach out and see what's available even if you just go to a food bank and help hand out food when people come through that will give you an activity...✌🏻And Blessings

@@marywilson1442 I wish I could do things. I don’t have a vehicle, and I am currently going through the disability process. I’m a Breast Cancer Survivor, and because of lymph nodes being removed under my left armpit, I’m not able to lift more than 10 lbs with that arm due to the possibility of causing lymphedema. I ended up with chemical toxicity from the chemo, which continues to eat my body from the inside out. It’s caused multiple issues, such as I am in a knee brace full time for the rest of my life, because the surgery is a 50/50 chance of being successful, or losing my leg. And I just don’t want to take that chance. Then I have issues with my spine and most of the disc. I’m grateful to be alive, even if it limits me. I can do things, example if I mow my yard, then it will take me 3-4 days to recover. But I still do it because it has to be done and I can’t afford to pay anyone. When going through the disability process, you’re not allowed to have any income at all. I’ve been blessed by selling all my expensive items to pay my rent and utilities, and I’m on food stamps for my food. But as of June 1st after I paid my bills, I don’t have any more items to sell except some clothes. So I will be homeless July 1st if a miracle doesn’t happen. It stinks living with the stress, which causes more health issues, and I’m only 48. I never dreamed I would be dealing with all that I am at this age. So just Pray for me! 🙏🏼🫶🏻🌻

That was very interesting, Lester! I'm 51 now, but when I was 21-22, I worked for a pilot of a small one-seater airplane that fed catfish on catfish ponds, and fertilized rice fields. I sometimes drove the loading truck, and sometimes I was the wing-jumper. Every time the plane lands, the truck pulls up to the wing and lines up the boom with a hopper on the front of the plane. At the same time, the wing-person is jumping up onto the wing to direct the downspout and release the feed or fertilizer into the plane. Same principle as your feed setup. I'd never heard of feeding catfish from a crop duster, but the farmers he worked for didn't want the pond levees rutted up by tractors. It was a damn hard job if you were the jumper. That plane made an average 40 take-offs. That's 80 times jumping on/off that plane. I hadn't thought of that summer in a long time until I saw that boom unloading your feed. Thank you for sharing! Much love from Jennifer in Central Mississippi ❤️
