I saw it and I'm constantly reevaluating it might be a sign of a masterpiece

I think that and the polarizing reception support that idea

The opening is kind of similar to the bum scene in mulholland drive. The way the bum appears is similar to how longlegs appears all of a sudden. You know he’s there but don’t know exactly when he’s gonna pop out.

I actually feel like watching bad movies is helpful, because it's more obvious what they're doing wrong. If you have the context of good movies, then bad movies are going to stick out as bad. So I think a good ratio of good and bad movies is what someone should strive for lol. I personally like to watch bad movies cause they're funny, or at least the ones that are a certain type of bad that makes them funny. It can also be an exercise to look at something you can tell is bad and actually put it into words WHAT is wrong with it, what they did poorly, and then you're hopefully less likely to make those mistakes (if you're trying to make a movie).

I believe time will tell this movie is smoke & mirrors without a solid foundation. Not everyone can do David Lynch but he apparently thinks he can.

@@christiangortler9403 actually upsets me that directors are dumping their boring art films in my favorite genre just because it has a huge built in audience. I feel like with the recent big budget flops studios are going to be pushing for more of this unfortunately.
Ok, longlegs is horrible, looks like a cheap pretentious copy of the ''silence". But the February is a classic-tier masterpiece that lists among the best movies of its genre. Directors can't survive by only making "small audience" deep movies, sometimes they have to produce mass product to stay afloat. Hope someday he will shoot something as great as Blackcoat's daughter, he can do it.

-It's sad to see him deviate from Quigley (2003) into this dark path into horror.

Man, he is so cool!!!!! 🤩💯🔥🖤❤🫶 I always loved his character in Legally Blonde. 😹 LongLegs was soo good imo. Nicolas Cage and Maika Monroe were amazing. I really liked Gretel and Hansel. I thought the ending was Very cool and creepy! I can't wait to see more from him I hope he does more Horror, but if he does a crime drama I'm down for whatever he's got for us!!!!! He's become one of my new favs.

Yeah, he's good at making women as heroic like every other pandering modern male film maker . At the price of making men into horrible terrible hateful misogynistic stand in villains. Not surprised you'd love his stuff. It's woman porn.
