She has got to be one of the best songwriters coming out of the states right now. This song and 'everything is free' absolutely blow me away. She has that gift that Hank Williams had for making simple lyrics very deep and meaningful.

The performance is truly awesome, wish I had been there, I would like to give kudos to the BBC though. Set and lighting are great, camera work is great and most of all the audio is perfect. As balanced and clean sounding one would expect from a top studio but this is in a hall with a live audience.

They are the best duo around, and please note: they do not find the need to mess up the sound of their acoustic guitars by putting pickups in them. They play them through mics they way good acoustics deserve to be played.

my fav song they have right now has got to be throw me a rope. But what an absolute GEM of a tallent they are. This in my humble opinion some of the best music you will find anywhere right now. And i can,t wait for thier next cd. I bought one cd of thiers after hearin a song on the radio. Within a couple of days i had every cd they have made to date. Now thats gotta tell ya something!

A stunning piece of work. Why does KZitem not send me more of Gillian Welch alone, or she and David Rawlings together? I am blown away by the way their two voices harmonize, sometimes on the same note, or sometimes one octave below or above. It gives me goosebumps. I have never heard voices harmonize so well, at least in the modern era. This is musical perfection.

Well music's subjective as art, but to me it's pure in the way she captures how this Miss Ohio, contestant who won the title, is out there with her hair blowing in the wind with the top down, doing everything they told her not to lol.
