READ FULL LETTER HERE: Dear Legends, As I sit here with my trusty typewriter in Ipoh, Malaysia. I am filled with a sense of nostalgia and wonder. The rhythmic clacking of the keys transports me back to a time when communication was simpler, yet so full of heart. In this digital age, where everything seems to move at lightning speed, it's an honor to connect with all of you through Tim's incredible KZitem channel. Tim has brought us together, uniting souls from corners of the world under the banner of "legendt." Through this letter, I want to express my gratitude for being a part of this unique community. You are the ones who give life to stories, who infuse meaning into moments, and who remind us that the beauty of humanity lies in its diversity. May you continue to find inspiration, joy, and connection In the stories shared here. As we Journey forward, let's remember that the magic of a simple typewriter can still touch hearts and bridge the gaps between generations. With warm regards, Michael. You are all true legends!

I think that's a RM100 bill you gave him. How generous. Fret not.. my crystal ball is saying that this letter will be 100 times more worthy than it is now. At least a RM 1K ++ by the time Tim got a fifth grandchild. 😂😂😂.. Well.. joke aside, we shall see if my crystal ball is right.

The covered pavement is called the "5-foot walkway" or in Malay it is called "Kaki Lima". Kaki means foot, Lima means 5. It is a building design requirement by the local municipalities to allow pedestrians to walk comfortably shaded from rain and shine.

In the old days, typewriter was a luxury item & not all will know how to use to type. The old man who types using the type writer is known as petition writer who usually types out documents to be submitted to the courts or for official submission (e.g. for commissioners of oath). These petition writers knows which official forms to be filled up, what information required & if need to, they can assist to translate if the petitioner is not well verse in English or Bahasa. It is a dying art because now you can do more things over the internet & using the computer.

Yes.. Ipoh is actually a Chinese town because it was a Tin Mine town and the British brought them to Malaya to work at the Tin mine. The town was very rich before WW2 but production of Tin Mine declined in 1970s. Now Ipoh has become an Industrialised with a lot of Electronics and other Factories in the outskirt. So the city centre is now becoming very slow and relax with a lot of retirees and old people prefer to make Ipoh as their hometown.

Yet you go to america and europe and they wont even allow you to do the adhan (azan) on speaker.. Wow.. dia dtg lagi... biar saya terangkan...
