Am 70. I have to refrain saying my age when asked, because people get upset and walk away thinking I was sarcastic. When register for a senior trip they always told me it's only for people 55+ to be considered senior. It's a problem for looking younger than age. Take care of the body, a good diet, daily workout, and mostly the way you act and dress are important too. And lastly don't forget that no matter how good you are, your appearance is 40 but in the inside your body really feel 70, a healthy 70!!!! This video reflect my lifestyle. @@youunijayden375 I just started my skincare journey so it is pretty simple. I wash my face in the morning with a benzol peroxide acne cleanser while in the shower. This is under the direction of a dermatologist. I also immediately apply a moisturizer containing hyaluronic acid right after I shower in the morning as well. I also apply sunscreen every day before leaving for work. At night, I wash my face with a hydrating cleanser. After I shower, I wait 30 minutes for my face to dry and I then apply tretinoin to my face. Tretinoin is a retinoid which is supposed to help with acne and wrinkles and also increase collagen production and speedup cellular turnover so your skin looks younger. After I apply the tretinoin, I wait another 20 or so minutes and then I apply a moisturizer containing hyaluronic acid again to my face. That's pretty much my skincare routine right now.

@@BigLion321 Sure, around 10 years ago I was looking for answers like most of us and started exploring spiritual practices. This lead me to do a long two year retreat where that was the only focus. You got up early, fasted for most of the day and spent all of it in meditation, with some yoga and reading thrown in. I was completely disconnected from the outside world as there was no internet or phones. Was an amazing experience and you kind of live in a constant state of joy, bliss and happiness. Don’t get me wrong you definitely have to face a’lot of inner demons but your forced to face them and let them go without any distraction. Being in prolonged states of inner peace and joy did things to my body where it felt like I started to age backwards, my face started to have a constant glow almost. I have no idea about the science behind it but I have witnessed miraculous things through my years that most people wouldn’t believe. This could possibly be the missing link not only for longevity but for humans to take that next step and reach our full potential. The only problem is serious spiritual practice and ritual isn’t fully accepted yet or at least studied by western science. I think once that gap gets bridge we will finally take a step forward in having more clear answers. Right now it seems most people are to stuck in a logical scientific approach to themselves and the world.

@@marco_cee_ Only between 7 and 25% of how someone ages is due to genes. This is what the evidence has shown. Again, you can look this up. This is very empowering, but it does mean we don't get to blame our genes for much.

@@brads8350 That's awesome. Personally, I never got the point of it. What also helps is I find the flavor of anything with alcohol gross. One life lesson is never care what anybody else thinks. Do what you think is right. I found it funny through the years when my friends would get offended I wouldn't drink a beer. It's like subconsciously they knew it was bad for them and felt better about drinking it if someone else did too. Nope, I'm good with my water. As a joke when we'd go to a bar, I'd pull a George Mcfly and order a chocolate milk. lol

@1999TransAmWS6 @1999TransAmWS6 I agree and well said. I think most people get into those habits because of that sense of, "well it's just what normal people do, so I guess I'll do it too." Also funny about the milk, I'm the same whenever I go out for a nice dinner. Everyone orders wine or some other type of alcohol, and I'm just there getting a water.

I know for a fact that I aged faster from 2003 through 2018 than I did from 2018 through 2023. I suffered from degenerative disc disease, hypertension and hyperinsulinemia. Since then, my change in diet has driven marked improvement, and I've noticed it in my vigor and my attitude. PS: FWIW, that web site says I look three years younger than I am. Would be interesting to see what it would have said five years ago. I may have to dig up some old photos.

I turned 62 this month. I was ordering a bagel on my birthday. The guy at the counter thought I’m 31. My mom used to get pushback when she’d ask for the Seniors’ menu… when she was in her 70s. My grandmother made it to 98, one of my aunts turns 99 next month, and will release a self-published autobiography on her birthday. I’ve been vegan for 20 years. The longest-lived, healthiest humans on the planet are the Loma Linda, California vegans. Coming in at #2 in the world: Okinawans, with a 98% vegan diet.

There are environmental reasons for aging including the way you treat your body. I believe it has a lot to do with genetics, basically the hand you were dealt. Of course that's fairly easy for me to say since I've been hearing I look younger than my actual age my entire life. I'm 51 and I've heard I look early 40s and sometimes late 30s but I take that with a grain of salt. I haven't really done anything special. I smoked and treated my body like an amusement park for years. Nowadays I take better care of myself watching my diet and exercising but that is fairly recent in the scheme of things.

Havinga balance is a key. I’m 52, 1-2 x week I allow myself to relax on my diet and enjoy a few beers. The rest of the week my diet, exercise, supplement and sleep regimen is strict. Supplements and sleep are always on point daily. People often think I’m 20 years younger. Have been consistent with this lifestyle for the majority of my life. I don’t do any fasting, I just have 2 meals and a protein shake per day 6 hours apart.

Your eating pattern would be considered intermittent fasting, 12/12 and you're taking diet breaks to maintain metabolism on your cheat days. If you weren't already healthy it might have been helpful to tighten the eating window or adjust the diet breaks paced differently; but since you're already healthy you're fine doing the minimum version. You've essentially figured out the minimum 12/12 intermittent fasting pattern with cheat days that you've done long term to maintain health. For someone not already healthy they would need to be a little more strict before moving into a maintenance pattern like you already achieved.

My late Maternal Grandparents lived to nearly 100. Unforseeable non health related events took them. They always drank regularly (Grandmother enjoyed 5 double martinis a week and assorted libations) and ate whatever they wanted (usually at high end restaurants since they were rich) but kept their calories lowered, stayed true to their lean weights from high school, and walked a lot. people thought they were in their 70s. Their advice to me was to keep a mindset of a 20 year old with the future always ahead of them and to avoid all news and politics as much as possible. Also to only keep a few close friends who were a lot younger and avoid most people. Kept their lives drama free and vibrant. They had excellent genes and money and were carefree. That's really secret sauce. Besides them, I find a lot of psychopaths stay very young looking, so I don't really ascribe to the idea of needing healthy relationships. It's a the nice and sweet people who often end up haggard looking. Taking care of yourself first is the way to staying super young looking. Also cold plunges and overly stressful activities are never helpful or healthy in the long run.

I agree with this lifestyle. As a formerly “nice” person, I have found that most people just want to “take” your energy from you. Best move is to only keep the 2 friends who don’t drain you and are actually fun. Ignoring the rest of the world and just focusing on what’s best for yourself is a good recipe for longevity. That’s how my great grandmother was, and she lived to 94. The last 30 years of her life she lived alone in the house and didn’t make effort to people-please for anyone

It's not perfect! Even photos taken on the same day can vastly differ in age. Take two photos that are under that circumstance. The site would say that your face in one photo would look three years younger than your actual age. The other photo of your face could be seen by the site as looking ten years older than your actual age. I think the biggest factors (in no particular order) that have an affect on age detection in photos would be filters, lighting, angles, and facial expressions (smiling, frowning, keeping a straight face, etc.).

Waking up at 8 am daily and spending all your time basking in UVA rays (that penetrate glass) isn't automatically keeping you young

I'm 59 and look mid 40's. We are born with a certain amount of Elastin and it does not get replaced, so we slowly lose it in our skin, and thus the wrinkles... a healthy gut will help, as the skin is a detox pathway, so don't let it become the main way that waste gets out of your body...

I could have told you without watching this video...and I have not yet, that aging relates to the mind and as long as you keep your brain active and how you look at life is different, then what essentially happens is that the body not necessarily reverses itself, but it restructures itself. I am a gamer. :) I keep my mind active a lot, love being creative, and finally enjoy things now in my life, I should have enjoyed 20 years ago, but never had the chance. I still do not feel my age and its strange that, as when I look back at older pictures of myself, I looked far worse. I realised that happiness, and true acceptance of one self and one's faults and strengths in life ensures that you perceive life differently. The people who age quickly are the boring, stiff people in life who sadly, have nothing going for them. Yes, they make money. Yes, they may be successful. And inside- they are dead to themselves and to their families. Sad state of affairs. :) I will state that I did come across one or two well off people in life, who pleasantly surprised me with how they perceive life. It is a nice change and something I am grateful for witnessing as they are as rare as the most rarest fish that is never seen by human eyes. People want to be adults, and take on responsibilities...and somewhere along the way, they forgot they had one life only. Yes, your spirit may reincarnate multiple times if you are one of the lucky ones, but this life time... is 60-80 years dependent on genetics of a person's particular line. Will you waste those short years, assuming you do good in life and be an ass in life...or do you buck the trend and be something unexpected? I prefer the latter. ;) It is what I look for...when I look for the 'perfect human being.' I don't need sheep. Contrary to the idea in life.
