The biggest problem the Coyotes faced was the unseeble enemy of logistics. It's a pain in the butt to get around the Phoenix area even with the loops, not to mention trying to bring fans from the neighbors' cities of Tucson and Flagstaff. They faced an uphill battle ever since they moved to the desert. I was so happy when the AHL team moved to Tucson. It sucks now that everyone is leaving.

True. The Phoenix Cardinals were promised a stadium in Phoenix. Never came. They played at Sun Devil Stadium for over a decade, threatened to relocate and ended up with a stadium in Glendale. The actual Phoenix locality- I suppose Maricopa County - has never been sports friendly. They make it very hard for pro teams to succeed.

In the 7th game of that 1999 playoff against St. Louis, Jeremy Roenick - imperial forces mask and all - played twice the game that Keith Tkajerk did. The fact that Phoenix blew that series the way they did was proof that the playoff curse of the Winnipeg Jets was alive and well.

This team will be greatly missed. Alex Meruelo WON'T! Salt Lake City will be getting the best part. Fans here STILL HAVE WORK TO DO TO GET A QUALITY OWNER HERE. WHAT WE HAD ISN'T THE ANSWER. THE MAN HAS NO RESPECT FOR THE FAN OR CONSCIENCE.

I dont think they are gone forever whenever they can build an arena im sure the NHL will move back to Arizona. I love the fans some of the best jerseys ever but it was just severly mismanaged. Im sure a new start whenever that my be will do the team so much good.

This is truly a tragedy. It’s proof that the NHL is not ready for expansion. They can’t support the teams they have. If hockey ever decides to return to the valley, the Murelo family should never be allowed to have anything to do with it. They don’t have deep enough pockets or commitment to success. Next, please!
