Join myself and my good compatriots Edvin and Alma as we scour district xxi in Budapest. District xxi aka Csepel has a reputation as being one of the most hard nosed districts in the entire city. It is a place they often tell you to stay away from. In fact, it is probably one of the least frequented districts in the entire city by tourists. But here's the thing. Edvin aka Eddie the Horváth is having a documentary made about his life. Because he is about to get very, very famous. They've been filming this documentary for about 5 years now actually. About him and his ex-wife. Anyway, that is besides the point. The point is that when I called Eddie to ask him if he wanted to go on an adventure tomorrow, the director of the Documentary, a Hungarian guy named Gábor, was sitting right next to him. Gábor told me that we should go to Csepel Island. And so we did. And Alma came as well. Ok, so went to Csepel. And guess what, we found some of the friendliest people you could ever imagine. The tourist books don't know a thing! Come join us on an adventure through Csepel as we meet locals, sample some authentic Hungarian fair across the river in Pestszentérzsébet and run amok through the post-communist city scape. Statues, history, food, drink, culture and more. Enjoy yourselves responsibly.
