My dear Kayla, I’m sorry loom knitting didn’t work out for you. I know it must be devastating, but I want you to know that you are one of the most talented and strongest woman I have ever had the honour of “meeting”. You are an inspiration to thousands of viewers. Don’t ever focus on what you feel you can’t do anymore. What you do amazes me. You do wonderful things with two thumbs and a pinky that some of us can’t do with eight fingers and two thumbs. You keep going when most of us would have given up. We love you Kayla through thick and thin. ❤

Shoot, . . . I would've quit long ago. Every time I see you struggle with stuff, I think, I could never do that. I still have all my fingers and I love to crochet, but I watch you because you inspire me to do things I just "can't" do with my chronic depression. Like dishes. You do so much more stuff than I do and I tell you, I would have quit long ago. You amaze me. Go ahead and cry, girlfriend. You're superhuman, but in some ways, still only human. Love you.

Hi Kayla, you did an amazing job trying. We understand the struggle and don’t want you to do anything just for us. Loom knitting is hard on the hands and wrist for many and even more so for those with hand disabilities. As much as I know you wanted to succeed I rather you do what works best for you. I am happy just watching you pet your fur babies. Whenever Sassy and Sissy are on I yell for my cat, and say, Sonny hurry come see Sassy and Sissy are on. He likes watching them get into your crafts. We love you no matter what content your videos are. We love you unconditionally.

I have always found it easier to learn traditionally 2-handed tasks from folks who are more like me. I'm watching on Sunday, and yesterday I designed and tested a quilt label for my quilt project on my embroidery module. It worked, and looks pretty good. I have pucked the thread and fabric for the final product. Today, I am back to hand quilting. I thought it was done, but in reviewing my quilting book, I realized that since I used 100% cotton batting, I needed some areas quilted more closely. Once I marked those areas in a grid, I realized it would look strange with just those done that way (I did stitch in the ditch quilting all over on the blocks). Sooo, I marked the whole center in a grid and I'm starting over. Thank the Lord it's only wall hanging size! When I get the corner where my label is going quilted, I'm going to embroider the label and sew it on. Then I can finish the quilting. It shouldn't take long since it's a 2" diagonal grid. I wish I'd read the book more closely when I was deciding how to quilt it! It is my first quilt, so I didn't have a clue what I was doing at the time. I don't know much more now, lol🤣

Hi Kayla, Thank you so much for sharing your life and your efforts. If I had been able to loom 7 hats a day, and now found a couple of rows impossible, I too would have been grief stricken. You are so very brave to keep sharing your ups and downs with us. It gives me hope and inspiration on my down days. Your voice is very pleasant, you are kind, soft spoken, and your grit and your gifts have no limits. You will find your niche. Thank you for being you. I am a left handed knitter/crocheter/crafter, so things can get a little tricky for me with some patterns. But the lefty videos, with crochet anyway, are all over the internet now, all they need to do is somehow flip the video. Amazing. I have loom knitted occasionally, but one hat would take me about a week. Because I babysit 40-50 hrs/week with my 2 year old granddaughter, my time is limited. My sister’s birthday is on the 21st of July, so I’m working on a potholder, and maybe a hanging kitchen towel and washcloth for her. To keep it realistic I’m keeping her gift small this year. I found your description of purling on the loom interesting, I’ve never gotten beyond the “e” loop, the stockinette? stitch on the loom. I can do knit & purl on needles.I’ll have to look that up next time. I also have problems with tension, pulling the yarn so tight that I’ve broken the yarn and/or the loom peg right off. 🤬 The holes in the hat that you saw might be a window stitch = ch 1, sk 1, dbl in the next stitch, repeat, or something like that. I’m not sure of the exact count. Juan the yarn addict has many hats patterns that he is putting out, hats for kindness, and I think some of them might include the window stitch. Have a great weekend. Has the doctor ever mention that you get a prosthesis or robotic hand? I suppose they’re not cheap. Take care. 🙏🙏🙏from sleepy 🥱 Sue in Michigan at 1:08 am

Hugs, it is probably a good thing you tried it, as now you can cross it off the list, and put the money towards things you can do. I appreciate the effort you put in so others can learn to think things through about what it takes to do any task. Smiles. I may be vision impaired but I have all my fingers, and even I find loom knitting painful very quickly. Thankfully I tried this with a friends loom. As long as I don't go above size 6 needles I find knitting on needles easier, I have petite hands so larger needles hurt. I donated all my larger needles I have been gifted. For a long time I couldn't crochet, but found that my vintage and antique hooks are easier to use, strange huh.

I finally got back to crocheting then finally knitting. Someone had given me their looms and I had bought a sock loom which was worse for me. It just wasn’t worth making myself hurt more when I was progressing. Now I have more chronic illnesses and have to pace myself or I really pay the price. I am working on two shawls one crochet one knit. I would like to hear when you use that yarn how you like it. Take care and be kind to yourself. God Bless

Don't let this get you down. I am one who is getting back to art because of your channel. Mind you i decorate cakes. But i would like to work art on paper and the like. I though my art would turn out good enough so why bother. But your talk on art journaling and how it turns out for the one working on it. . How the paint feels. use different medias. and worry about how it turns out later. So, I repurchased supplies, because I have given my supplies a couple of times already. And I am getting to it. So, what to do with that LOOM. you could rap yarn from peg to peg, across and around. Add fringe and sparkles and glitter and pom poms. Make a dream catcher out of it and hang it on the wall. Or take it outside and see how far you can frisbee it across the yarn. remember to aim at the devil's head. Because God is still bringing beautiful things out of those hands of yours. God Bless you my dear friend.

Mama Llama Kayla, you are an amazing lady. You just keep doing what you can and don't beat yourself up if there are things that are harder to do. It's okay if you don't want to continue the loom. You are still such a creative person, you will find a new way to do what you want. Take care.💓

Look at MJ’s off the hook designs. She is doing a tutorial on a granny crochet hat, maybe that will work for you. ❤

Your authenticity is inspiring. So proud of you, Kayla. I know you are struggling to redefine your life and find ways to make content and purpose. I get it. Please know you are loved beyond measure. I think Crystal has a slouchy hat pattern. I will look for you. A side note. I looked up at the window during your video and saw squirrels mating on my deck rail. Life goes on! Lol, they probably said, "She can't half see, let's get it on!" 😅 Now, they are grooming. Cute!!! I do love you so!!!❤❤❤ 😇🙏💚
