Thank you so much for these cast-ons! As a beginner, I have been frustrated by loopy cast-ons. They just ruin the look of the project. I wish I had met you when I started my first project! I especially like the knotted crochet! Thank you again.

Thank you so much for this amazing video! I love to loom knit, but could never do a crochet cast on due to my physical disability. Even without a crochet hook, all the other videos I watched required use of both hands, but I only use one when I loom knit. Your technique looks perfect for me!

Thank you for this tutorial. Great instructions, camera view and speed of hands. I think it will be easier to do than with a crochet hook for me. Especially with the smaller gauge looms. :)

Thank you for showing us this technique! I have struggled with this until your video. Most of the videos I have watched went too fast for beginners.

Hi, I love the picot cast on. Is there another cast off I could use with this instead of Kristan Mangus' cast off?

Hello Ms Higby In your video showing the crochet cast on without a crochet hook you end the the rectangular loom section with a comment that doing a purl and purl over tends not to curl. what is a purl over?

How do you cast off using the knot method so that both ends look the same?
@Reesfun
7 жыл бұрын
With the CrochetCast on a standard bind off, done loosely will work. With the knotted crochet use Kristin Mangus cast of here bit.ly/2mYVupW

Are there better cast on's for different projects? What are examples of a "flat project"? Which cast on is best for non-curling ends? Thanks!
@Reesfun
10 жыл бұрын
The best option I have found for the non-curling cast on is to combine one of these two cast-ons with a purl immediately following. A "flat" project is simply one that is not completed in the round. If you are using a round loom, it would be one that you stop and reverse your knitting as the last peg and then work back and forth. Does that make sense?

Theresa Higby Yes, it does make sense. Thanks a lot!

Definitely. I use the Crochet cast on for most of my small gauge projects and the knotted crochet cast on for my larger gauge projects.

Sorry, but this creates a nasty corner knot on that first peg. You're working it twice.
