I am the biggest foolio , why it took me this long to figure why the pattern wasent comming out right!!! Plz remind people if ur doing a slip stich at the edge it makes the pegs uneven. Unless u do 3 on one side and 2 on the other, im such a silly for not noticing why my even number peg patterns werent working out (blushes). Ur great denise, your a huge help to my life of the loom! And you and ur daughter are so radient and beautiful! God bless u

I love this stitch style!!! Beautiful. I did it in a chunky yarn and it's coming out great!! Amazing idea of adding little rubber bands to help with the stitch. I always would have to go back n count now I just look at where the band is. Amazing idea!! Keep with the fabulous videos!! New to knitting and these make it soooo easy for me to follow and create lovely projects!! Thanks Denise!! 🤗😍💖😄

Hi Denise! Love your vids. I got a set of knitting looms from Hobby Lobby. I tried this stitch and a few others on my loom. They look nothing like yours. I'm thinking wrong size loom? Unfortunately the packaging doesnt say if its large or small looms. Could you direct me to a vid on how to tell the size of my looms?

Hi I am still new to loom kniting. I really like the farrow stitch and want to try it. I have already abandoned an earleier attempt to loom knit a scarf with impossible curling at the end and at the sides. I am hoping that I can get a nice flat scarf with the farrow stitch. I found the video a bit confusing, sorry! It looks as though youhave started the pattern three stitch from the left, and I didn't understand why you had marked the first 3 pegs and then not used them. Could you clarify for me please? I am really late trying to get a scarf done for Christmas for my daughter. Best. Arthur Barton

Hi - yeah the video is confusing to beginners because it is only a stitch pattern and not a project. Here is the Farrow Stitch Scarf pattern - video from beginning to end at the bottom of the page. You'll have time to get it done by Christmas - come back let me know how it goes - This is a beautiful scarf - pictures don't do it justice : www.loomahat.com/farrow-rib-stitch-scarf/

Hi Denise. I watched your cast on video but I still don't know which cast on is better for a project. Can you tell me which cast on looks better for this Farrow Rib Scarf

Thank you I am just wanting to do a simple Scarf with this pattern.. I am not sure if I am supposed to do a cast on all the way across... and then start back as my first row or is that considered my second row? Then how many stitches on each end extra other than my three stitches K,K,P and P,P,K ..... so basically do I do a row of cast on ? and do I need to come back a row then start my Farrow stitches ? and when I get to the end of a row how can I make my last stitch tighter or should they be loose?
@LoomaHat
9 жыл бұрын
+Margaret Hill Margaret - First its best to use a small gauge loom - or chunky yarn if you're using Knifty knitter or something like it - an ewrap cast on - .3 or 4 rows of maybe a garter stitch - and 3 to 4 stitches for the edges - do the Farrow Stitch for the desired length - then repeat what you did when you started 3 or 4 rows of maybe the garter stitch - If you're a beginner - you may be trying something a bit to much for right now - start with a basic scarf - kzitem.info/news/bejne/uJqurJinsmimZKg

@LoomaHat
8 жыл бұрын
+caroline m. Yes you can use a round loom and this video is complete. It is a stitch pattern. Different projects start differently. Hats, blankets, purses and dolls are not necessarily started the same way but I can still use the stitch pattern for all of them. It will be good for you to watch the video on this page: this is a stitch pattern and not a project pattern: www.loomahat.com/start-my-stitch-patterns/

I love this stitch pattern. I am really confused on some things. First I went back to your (how to start) video and tried to follow what you are doing but I am still confused. If I understand it right in your how to start video it shows 2 knit at the beginning and the end. Then I read a pattern that says Multiple of 3 + 1 Row 1: *k2, p1* to last peg, k1 Row 2: k1, *p2, k1* Repeat these 2 rows for the Farrow Rib stitch pattern. So my question is do I do 3 knits at the end and three knits to start? and when I go to turn my work the turn stitch is very loose... is it supposed to be? I think I am doing something wrong... but I really really want to learn how to do this stitch... can you help me ?
@LoomaHat
9 жыл бұрын
+Margaret Hill Margaret - You choose the edges according to your project - if your doing a hat - you wouldn't even to those 3 knits. This video is only for the stitch - so in actually the K, K, P for row 1 and K, P, P for row 2 . Don';t worry about the edges unless you have a particular project in mind. If you tell me what it is and I can better help you as long as it's not a complete pattern that you're needing.

I believe she used a KB adjustable hat loom. Then, all you need to know is the number of pegs used in the cast on and make the loom as close to that number as possible. The loom can be made to go all the way to 84 pegs. Usually, a hat is around 20, scarf 30 or more. They are available at JoAnn's and if you wait for a sale like I did, they are usually 24.99 and I got mine for about 12.00. 1/2 of the reg. price. And, if you don't have a JoAnn's, you can order online directly from KB LOOMS.
