Ridiculously good channel. Med student here and watched nearly all your videos, very concise and to the point. You deserve a much bigger audience. I just wanna say how much it means to me to have these videos so keep up the good work :)

Thank you for the video. But can you please elaborate how potassium and chloride enter the cell through NKCC,; for sodium influx we can say concentration gradient which is created by Na K ATPase, for chloride influx we can say electrochemical gradient, but how potassium? Please explain that portion of video. Apart from that, I understood the video very well. Please reply.

How is energy created when a 'Na' enters the cell from tubular lumen?

Near the end you say the urine is getting less concentrated, but then you say the main function of the loop of Henle is the countercurrent multiplier, which concentrates urine. So does the urine become more concentrated or diluted?

It depends if u have had lots of water the body will produce more urine without water reabsorption from dct if not the body will concentrate the urine. How? The dct and collecting duct will reabsorb h20 using adh and aldosterone hormones . conditional reabsorption.

Also about vasa recta, it help maintain ionic concentration in medullary interstitial fluid and so, when aldosterone and adh act high water reabsorption occurs and urine gets concentrated. Basically vasa recta indirectly helps in concentration of urine.main work is of dct and collecting duct+ hormones. I hope u understood😅
