I literally ask God to have mercy every day. I don’t deserve anything but mercy is not about what we deserve.

I can’t believe this was recorded 30 years ago. It was my first year singing with the choir. I hope Jason knows that after all these years, the Holy Spirit still comes through the passion in which he sang this song.

It is now Sunday, October 6, 2024, one week after Hurricane Helene decimated the Carolinas, eastern Tennessee, and large portions of Georgia and Florida. Now Hurricane Milton has most of Florida in its crosshairs. Lord have mercy, indeed.

Charles Billingsley is the only one to come within a mile. But Christ Church is unmatched.

So this is the guy who briefly sang tenor with the Imperials in the 1990 after David and Ron left? I have nothing against Pam Morales (RIP) but a lineup with this guy, Jonathan Hildreth, David Will and Armond would have been so great! Great voice! How I wish he had finished the Big God album.

Greatest KZitem song ever. Only thing even close is Charles Billingsley version. Joy Gardner and Jonathan Pierce smack dab in the middle. Dying to know name of soloist.

Jason Beddoe...The last I recall he was a Metro Police officer in Nashville. I was in the choir when this version was recorded at the Gran Ol Oprey Theater next to the Oprey Hotel (not the Ryman).

@@autumnblond I see that David edited this video and included this information. Surely they sang more than one song in that theatre. Must have been quite a night. I'm kind of shocked the building is still there and didn't lift straight to heaven.
