The way that tylosaurus is able to sift through water with it's fins down with a look of utter disappointment kind of reminds me of seeing an alligator gar or something sitting stationary in a pond. Hearing Amelia's rumble about extreme evolutionary convergence among different mosasaur lineages reminds me of some stuff I've been reading on fossil proboscideans lately. Apparently the development of a long, highly dextorous trunk in Proboscideans happened at least twice (in mammutidae and at some point among the lineage of Gomphotheres leading to elephant and maybe Amebelodontids too), the development of proal chewing happened twice (in Stegodontids and Elephantids) and the reduction of the mandibular symphasis and loss of mandibular tusks happened at least *five times* (in Mammutidae, American trilophodont gomphotheres, Stegodontids, Tetralophodont gomphotheres and Elephantids). Absolutely insane 🤣 * Edit, actually it might be 7 times for the last one since Choerolophodontidae also lost them, as did Gnathabelodon on its own if it wasn't a Choerolophodontid, both of those while *keeping* an elongated lower jaw

Sorry Amelia mentioning the Sternberg Museum got me so happy! I got to go on a cross country trip last summer with my grandpa and one of the first museums I dragged him to was the Sternberg Museum. I had never seen a dome shaped museum before and the whole walk through was a lot of fun! My grandpa grew up in Ellsworth, which is only an hour away from Hays, so it was fun telling him about the Western Interior Seaway during the drive. The people who worked there were really nice and I got to talk to them since they recently got done with a school tour so they were out and about. They asked about where we were from and I mentioned how underwhelming the closest museum where I'm from is. (Love you Fernbank but during the cold seasons there's not much to see.)

Fun weight-related fact about JWE2: Proceratosaurus, an animal about the size of a big dog, according to the ingame database, is listed as weighing 60kg. This might not seem that unusual at first, but the funny part comes when you realise that Moros Intrepidus, an animal that in the game is the size of a rat, is also listed as weighing 60kg. My guess for this unusual occurence is that, because the real life moros is more or less the size of proceratosaurus, they just listed it as having the same weight. Even so, I still choose to believe that the JW Moros Intrepidus has bones that are dense as bricks.
