It's really maddening. I have said it before about Alex going to his room for his gun?? And Charles waiting there to be shot?? Its absolutely ridiculous. Also Lori taking Charles phone?? How dare she think she is entitled to take a grown man's phone, the fact that they were separated. Don't believe that either. None of the two detectives questions this far fetched and ridiculous story. Poor Charles was most likely shot straight away. Lori brought Tylee off , to make she stories were the same. When you watch the video of Tylee waiting to be interviewed you can hear Loris voice as she is being interviewed- so Tylee knows exactly what to say to collaborate her story. More importantly Tylee is then aware that Lori will also be able to hear anything she could confide to the police. If Tylee knows or has any suspicion of her mother and Alex murdering her stepfather she couldn’t safely confide to the police because her mother would overhear and then her life would be in danger. This shows the sheer incompetence of the law enforcers in handling these interviews, and the danger they put victims in by conducting interviews within earshot of possible perpetrators. I completely missed that it was specifically a police interview. 🤦♀️ And the descriptor, "going around," was something Lori had said when she and Tylee came back home after taking JJ to school. Two further comments: the first time I listened to this I realised how Lori can draw people in. She has a very inclusive and conversational style, and even police officers are attracted to her personality over the actual content of what she’s saying. Very clever. And dangerous. The other thing is I have developed over the intervening time is the idea that THIS is the reason Tylee had to go. Because she’s lied for her mother but can’t be trusted not to break if questioned more thoroughly. I’ve not listened to much of these interviews before as found the antagonists (as it turned out) so irritating/shallow/blasé throwing out so many red flags - so hard to listen to. Listening to your breakdown I’d have to agree re law enforcement- a poor job - maybe they wrote it off as domestic violence from Charles (seems like lots of women who lie nowadays get a free pass) and complacency- just easier to not dig too deeply. Seems like they didn’t bother to join the dots - and hadn’t Charles already spoken to them about his wife’s behaviour and his concerns? The detectives are willingly allowing themselves to be manipulated by a couple of narcissists - oh dear 😐. As with the Scott Peterson interview it’s a shame you weren’t there to interview these two!

true, but the problem here is that even a mediocre police interview would have stopped this whole campaign on the afternoon after Charles was shot. It's not like the police had to be like Sherlock Holmes... And the whole thing would have been stopped.

It is impressive how you were able to translate her narrative--I have seen this interview before and I never caught that, that she was the one who orchestrated a situation wherein they would have an excuse to 'defend themselves'. Sounds familiar actually. Geopolitically. My theory with Lori is that she is a narcissist with very little conscience. When motherhood was a central part of the false identity that she creates for everyone to admire, when it was the fulcrum point of her ego, she willingly sacrificed for the kids and did well by them. When her spirituality/visions/relationship with Chad became the new focus of her identity, when it was time for her to change identities and the new one did not mesh well with the sacrifices demanded by motherhood, she came up with another excuse, and found a way to twist the narrative so that, again, she was 'defending herself' (from 'zombies' in this case) and thus justified in her actions.

Chandler police did a horrible job. In fact, they did no job at all. You have a point there, these people just didn’t seem to enjoy their jobs. They not only did not get Charles phone right away, there is an audio out there of them calling Adam, like a year later or almost. Adam mentions how shocked he is that police did not contact him earlier. I also believe Charles was ambushed as soon as he walked into the empty living room. For what others said, Charles was a stud and very strong, I doubt Alex would chance a struggle with him. Had they done their job, possibly 3 innocent people could be alive today. ❤❤❤

Charles supposedly hit Alex with a baseball bat. Alex went to his room and got his gun, instead of immediately de-escalating the situation by staying in his room. He then came out and shot Charles. @@pdquestions7673 This is referring the police investigation, really the reason there was a lack of one by the Chandler Police department. It is not referring to her being an angel in anyway. The halo effect occurs when an overall positive impression of a person occurs based on a single characteristic and others make positive assumptions. For instance a slim, good looking or pretty blonde often gets the job, a raise, promotion over another, more qualified person. They get out of a traffic tickets and everyone wants to be friends instantly. In Loti’s interactions with these police she smiles, bats her lashes, is fit, and laughs during interviews. Basically flirts her way out of it. How could a pretty little thing like that hurt a big strong man like Charles. Her appearance is the reason their brains stopped being investigators and moved to, “You poor thing. You have endured so many abusive relationships. Let’s get you a victims advocate!” It’s the way she destroyed Joe Ryan, got followers, duped her way into 5 marriages and made it on Wheel of Fortune.
