Hi there. Me again! In today's video, Ethan and I travel to LA to shoot 8mm motion picture film for the first time. We used a 1940s Revere Model-88 camera that I got Ethan at a thrift store for $30. We shot a roll of Film Photography Project's Cine8 Color 40 film which to my knowledge is just respooled Kodak Vision3 50D. We also shot a bunch of 35mm stills with my Canon P, His Nikon N8008, and a plethora of film stocks including CineStill 800T pushed to 1600 iso, Kodak ProImage 100, Kodak Portra 800, and the new "Fuji 400" which I'm convinced is just repackaged Kodak Ultramax 400. During our trip, we stayed in the heart of Hollywood Blvd. We visited LA's Chinatown, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, and even wandered around the Academy Museum of motion pictures and Paramount Studios for a while. We ended the trip at the famous Chinese Theater to see Oppenheimer on 70mm IMAX film (which was the main reason we came to LA in the first place). We also got a quick tour of the projector room and got to see how one of these giant rolls of film is loaded onto an IMAX projector! Overall, it was a great trip, and I am really proud of how this video and the photos turned out! I hope you enjoy this longer format video and all of the different media formats used to create it. Also, make sure to get out and see something new every once in a while. and make sure to leave this planet better than you found it. Thanks for watching. See you next time. Bye now!
