What I like is that you can hear every note. No shredding, no string bending just pure guitar chords. Ahhh the good old day's.

My band opened for Los Straitjackets at Maxwell's in Hoboken, N.J., back in 1997. They are sheer brilliance.

Holy shit! I have this CD never thought I’d hear it live.they give it the total Telstar treatment. .OMG!!. .i have all their records and saw them live in Portland OR after the first album was released. Totally awesome band. Don’t know about this current line up but one of the founding members was Danny Amis who was part of The Raybeats. Their album Guitar Beat, long out of print is straight up classic. Not sure if Danny is still with us due to serious health complications, no longer tours with the band.

I heard Danny recovered...and very glad to hear that. It's Only A Movie, the Raybeats' 2nd record is also fantastic.

Wow, they tour a whole lot. They've been everywhere. From Tv to small street fairs to the Milwaukee summer fest, to hundreds of nightclubs. True road warriors.

This was my first introduction to Los Straitjackets and WOW, what an intro! I was curious. Then mesmerized. Then impressed. Then laughing my way through the A Cappella portion. Then back to impressed. Totally opened the door to all of their wonderful surf guitar tracks and style. Loving it still today more than ever in 2020! 👍

First saw them in 1997 at the Virginia Museum of Art in Richmond, Va. I instantly fell in love and I too was impressed and mesmerized. They organized a bus trip for fans to travel with them in Spain in May 2001 and I went with them. Incredible once in a lifetime trip! Great guys. So glad that they could keep going through the years with new members. The original 4 will be my fav though. Biased I guess!

@@bobdavis1694 I must say that I saw the Fabulous Pontani Sisters with Los Staitjackets here in Chicago at The Abbey Pub here in Chicago, probably back in the late 1990s. They were fantastic. It was like going back in time to the Go-Go dancing of 1967, yet they also had (and I honestly mean this only in the nicest way), the exciting effect of a strip act that never took their clothes off. :-)
