Dual citizenship being an American too is a very beautiful thing especially in your time of need. This is from personal experience. About two years ago, i was robbed proper in Diani. Lost all my traveling documents, cash, cards and any way i could communicate. Trust me and i do not want to sound weird but my host second home Swiss came to my rescue and processed my Swiss temp. passport in a day while my Kenyan brothers and sisters at Diani police station took a wk to write a police report. I’m still traumatized. This was during Easter holidays. The Swiss Embassy sent someone during holidays to meet me at the airport in jkia to just make sure I’m ok. Kindly keep your American citizenship. You are going to need it at some point.

@@Kipro007-j5mi would give up a Kenyan citizenship in a heartbeat if i have to choose one. Get into trouble anywhere in the world that requires your country to flex its muscle then you will know we have none. I was robbed and had not a shilling with me and yet the boss in charge who lived 300 meters at their quarters still expected me to fuel his car. His juniors sensing my desperation offered to help me with their phones so i could call my Family. The abuses (Taka taka, ghasia) they received before me haunt me to date. I also file my taxes for both countries so it’s doable.

Good topic for discussion. However, the clickbait approach in the titling of the video makes your Kenyan viewers feel disrespected. They know that it is routine for even financially affluent Kenyans to get denied visitor's or medical visas to the US. Wait times for B1/B2 visa appointments are now more than a year. And how would you hold on to your remote US job once you've given up your right to be employed in the US? SMH!!!

Good info bro. But I have to say I will never lose my US citizenship. In fact personally am debating and need to make decision soon on whether to retire in kenya or US after living in US for 33 years. I kind of feel that for me Kenya is not the place I would want to retire but I understand there are challenges also here in US. So I will keep watching your videos. I recently run into your channel and can relate to so many things you talk about.

The American immigration system is very costly (by design) not including laywer fees if applicable and takes alot of time and patience since it's the most sort after citizenship in the world and the process you have just explained from F1 Visa to Citizenship is by default the American dream. Do not give up your US citizenship, the benefits of having one are overwhelmingly positive. Corrupt Kenyan politicians are buying citizenship by investments from the countries that offer it as their back-up plan. Any dual citizens out there American, Canadian, Australian, European countries' passport holders...keep them! Bless up
