Wanted to say thank you very much for the dedication to the channel and to us gears freaks!! You’re a legend to all of us and we support you in and out of the community. Rn I do security and I love it, 4 on 4 off so I get a ton of time to do whatever tf I want and while I'm at work I basically do nothing so I bring a gaming laptop lmao. I could take a position for $26/hr but it's a bit more serious and I'm not into paperwork. If I could poof my ideal life into reality I'd just live in a mid-sized cabin in a mountain range and grow/raise/hunt as much of my food as physically possible.

Kinda late to this video but I felt the exact same way you did 2 years ago, man. I was in college full-time and working at Food Lion for 12 hours right after class every day in a freezer by myself overnight. Never wanted to do that again. So I temporarily dropped my Bio degree and went straight to a Radiology Technician degree. Ive been working in the hospital for 3 months now as a trained tech and want to get into travel nursing/phlebotomy/radiology while doing real estate/travel agent work in my spare time. I was lucky enough to know what I wanted to do with my life since I was 5, it was just hard to get there. But I busted my ass and even when my own mother told me I couldnt do it, I did it. Im turning 23 in July and make more than my dad and his wife a - loving what I do. There’s something out there for everyone!

i'm an instructional designer at a university. i make $90k a year, and my job is fully remote. i work about 3-4 hours a day, if that. i don't need to be home to do my job. a lot of the time, i'm holding meetings and answering emails from my phone while i'm out at the movies or grocery shopping, etc. i started as help desk tech support, just installing software, printers, networks, and troubleshooting computers. my job was basically restarting computers and reinstalling windows, then i eventually moved up. i got into it because i grew up fixing engines and just have a knack for figuring out what's wrong with things. now, i teach professors how to teach, and i design college courses. so, if you're ever using Canvas or Blackboard for a college course, someone like me likely built the site. i could easily moonlight (work another job behind my job's back) and make $180k, but i'm chillin' for now. i did that before, and i have friends working 3-4 fully remote jobs making $300k and up, but i like my free time. i'm always doing a side hustle, too, like recently i've taken to selling used cars. can make at least $1000 for each car i sell. i sell maybe one or two a month, just for fun, but i have friends that bank six figures on it. before that, i proofread people's articles on the side, fixing their grammar, and sentence structure. you just have to find out what you're good at and grind it out. it's not about doing what you like, or following your dreams, or your passions. as men, we don't get that luxury. hell, i wanted to be an actor, or baseball player, and nowadays, i wish i could play video games for a living, but only a minority get to do that. you got to experience it, but might be time to move on. if you're into dieting and fitness, go train others how to do it. if you know how to repair cell phones, then you go repair a thousand cell phones at someone's shop, and then open up your own shop. if you're good with dogs, then go breed or train hundreds of dogs for a company and then start your own dog company. if you're good at finance, mentoring men, etc, go do it. i have friends that are tattoo artists, friends that cook, friends that are lawyers and physicians, friends that cut hair, friends that buy ATMs and place them all over the city, friends that do bail bonds, etc. anyway, i don't know how long i'll be doing instructional design. at my age, 40, you start thinking more about the meaning of your work, rather than just a paycheck. i've been working since i was 14, and i've worked in almost every field, but now i'm leaning towards things that make a true impact on other people's lives.

Also I think the reason people "Up A" so much in this game, Is because thats the only "Special Shot" they know how to pull off, They hear pros and youtubers mention it and they're like "Hmm, An Up A? I think I can do that.." Then when it works for them; thats all they do, They dont try and learn how to "Back A" or "Wrap Shot" they just do the easiest shot and stick with it..

I honestly wonder if a big difference comes from the fact that a lot of us started playing Gears with execution and other 1 life modes that forced us to play creatively, outwit people, play for damage etc. Maybe it's the fact that the only Gears some people have ever known is this fast paced constant respawn stuff where their lives don't really matter, so they just keep throwing themselves at the enemy like that.

Its fun to play casually, but trying to get better in ranked is literally debilitating and was having a bad impression on my mindset and moods. Sucks because i do love video games, i find people at the higher echelons of skill tend to be some of the most miserable people, and find joy in making others feel miserable too. Usually these people have nothing good going on in their life, so they waste swau trying to maintain arbitrary skill through simulated progession.

I should’ve asked this question last vid. What’s your opinion on Mouse n Key on gears? As one myself, this game was a struggle to even enjoy at first but after a few hundred hours I was about to become more consistent on my plays which made the game more enjoyable. I could play on controller as I have an Xbox as well but why handicap myself when I know I can play better on MnK. Also I feel like people would ask why I would still play the game when I didn’t enjoy it at first, it’s because I watched gears content creators like Icy. It made me more motivated to get better at the game despite controller dominance on gears.

Gears 4/5 and 5 being the worst really just let’s everyone do the same thing and get away with it. You could tell people had unique play styles and finesse with their movement. Thanks for the video LOL it wasn't very toxic in my opinion it's just funny because I sound the same whenever I play that game it's frustrating the way the game doesn't work and the way that people play😂 like please can you just kill me in like a legit fashion instead of running face-first into my shotgun and getting away with a lucky kill or shooting someone 4-5 times but I go down in 2 shots😅
