Thank you for making this video. It's honestly nice to have videos in this format that break down information like this. S tier content for sure.

Hey Midir, love the short and concise content, could you dive into how effective support scaling is with brand power - attack power and different gear upgrades along the line. Baseline + Elixir set + Trans + T4 ark passive / individual nodes Like how much stronger are supports actually getting.

Yes! I plan to do at least 1 video for supports once t4 hits.

Sick video! My request would be if you could research the new card sets we will be getting in T4 :P

Good video. Can you also make a video about how support buffs scales? Which supports gain buff / heal / shield increase from spec, or if they get any plus from their max hp?

Solid video. Btw is it true if main stat is better than atk power in t4? This would be a great video
@MidirSkry

This depends on your current stats and the amounts you are gaining. At a 1:1 ratio, attack power will be better than main stat. Would be interesting to see how much damage is gained from main stat vs weapon power vs attack power after we have t4 gear. Thanks for the idea!

Can you do a short video comparison between the current legendary bleed rune and how it would compare to the new runes coming out like poison so that players know which one to choose or to continue using bleed rune?

Good call. I'm also curious how the new Poison Rune works, but it's hard to find any information on it. I'll definitely test this out once I get it.

asking just to make sure, Should i convert my level 9 dmg gem for a skill that does around 23% of my dps? or is the concern only for lvl 10 gems?

Everything besides t3 level 10 damage gems should be transferred.

Is the assumption that a t4 level 7 gem will be 54k gold come from KR market?
@MidirSkry

That's just a rough estimate based on the prices of Level 9 tier 3 gems on NA West.

Your math regarding conversion is incorrect. You don't care about which percentage of your total AP "base AP" is. Your total AP is affected by things unrelated to Base AP, and it also affects your damage without converting gems so it's irrelevant here. You only care about the effective damage gain in increased Base AP (the more Base AP, the lower the effective gain is, but it's a relatively small difference with current sources of Base AP), and the difference between that and the damage loss from going T3 > T4. For example, let's assume you have full lv10 gems and you convert to lv8 T4 gems. Each T4 gem is 0.8% Base AP. Your 11th lv8 T4 gem would be worth roughly 0.74% damage (due to linear scaling, each point is less efficient than the previous one). I'm using the last gem as it is the least efficient increase in Base AP. So to know when to convert, you need to take the relative change in damage going from 40% to 36% (136/140-1) = 2.86%, multiply it by the skill damage share "N" and compare to what you gain from Base AP (again, 0.74% in this specific example). In this specific case, that "N" number is roughly 26%. So at 26% dmg from the skill, converting T3L10 to T4L8 would roughly break even. Higher share, you don't convert. Lower share, you do convert. This exact conversion point depends on the level of the other gems as well as your stone (which also gives Basic AP in T4 if 9/7+ or 10/6+) so it varies slightly, but it goes higher the lower your Base AP is. So if you were to only convert a single lv10 gem into a T4Lv8 gem, the diff should be 0.8% (the difference in Base AP) which is roughly 28% skill damage. I hope the explanation is clear

Hello I appreciate the thought you put into this. I think our difference here is that you are assuming that an increase in base AP is effectively the same as an increase to damage so 108.8/108 = .74% damage increase. My assumption is that a gem that increases your base AP does not increase the AP buff you gain from a support while in a party. Let's simplify to a scenario where you have 100 Base AP, gems that provide 10% Base AP, and a support gives you an AP buff of 100. I'm saying your total AP would then be 100*(1.1)+100 = 210, so your damage went up by 210/200 = 5% relative to not having any base AP. Are you suggesting that the support buff being added is also increased by your gem base ap?

Does CD gem also give AP? Because someone said it does not
@MidirSkry

Yes CD gems also give Base AP (the same amount as Dmg). You can pause the video at 0:45 and see the values (T4 Gems are on the right of each table).

is it true that if I convert my gems to t4 its will give a random skill and I need to reroll again?
