So, my question is who put those pallets together? How did the pallets arrive at their warehouse to be shipped out? Where did the food and supplies come from? Clearly, these men weren't manufacturing fish biscuits or chocolate bars themselves. Were those boxes all there since the 70s? Food can't last that long no matter how many preservatives are in them. Some of these supplies were probably put on a submarine before it was taken over. Then they switched to drones to supply the Swan station. Or maybe they did drones too, for the main Dharma camp. Pretty good that it landed near the survivors and also not far from the Hatch. For some reason Desmond didn't get the message to go for supplies. Kind of stupid they didn't find the back door to the Hatch.

It sucked that they wrote Walk off the show because he grew too much. I was reminded of this scene lately, I just want to say I am very happy they didnt go with supposed spin off/season 7 idea of ben and hurley controlling the island, like helping the whispers cross over to find peace, it could work as a bonus scene like this but not an entire season. I still don't quite get what ben and hurley were even protecting the island from since man in black died they didnt have to worry about someone yanking the cork out and implied to destroy the planet. And I wasnt one of those people either who wanted to know what happened to the others who got on the plane off the island-kate, sawyer, etc, they probably just settled back into their lives and I imagine miles finally got his 2 million dollars. I am so happy this show was not given a forced sequel cause so much of the time these forced sequels ruin what came before and I don't want that for lost unless its to fix a plot error. And I don't even think there was this large list of unanswered mysteries either by end of show, I've seen shows with more unanswered questions that don't get the amount of backlash lost gets for not answering theirs although that outrigger question will always bother me I won't lie.

Dharma were never meant to have found the island; they tried to dig and harness the energy from the centre of the island, before that the US military brought a hydrogen bomb to the island and the "others" killed them all before they could use it. There are always people/invaders who find their way to the island that can cause damage to it, so there always has to be someone to watch over and protect it. As for the outrigger, that was Llana and a few of the Ajira flight passengers shooting at Juliet, Sawyers boat. They flashed back into present day and then back into the past again.
@malivore7264

@@GlobBucket Tbh I dont even recall why that bomb was brought to the island. Also I think dharma was just trying to use the energy for good reasons not to destroy the island. @GlobBucket

@@malivore7264 they likely said that because the answer was already there (the ajira flight bottle of water they found in the outrigger on the beach abit earlier in the episode), it just required full attention and concentration. Sadly, denouement is not the ending of most shows or novels these days, and is kind of boring to wrap things up, so is left to the imagination. The climax of _The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King_ is probably when the ring is destroyed and Sam and Frodo are rescued. It's one of the few with a good (and long) denouement after the climax, which would be the crowing of the king, his marriage to Arwen, the return of the Hobbits to the Shire and their dealing with Saruman and his men. Months later Frodo leaves for the ship at the Haven with the others, while his companions return to the Shire. With Hugo's ascendancy, pretty much all conflict is over on _Lost,_ except for those who have issues with Benjamin Linus taking Richard's place as the number two. It's about wrapping up loose ends like these two scenes. Also it's about Hugo (and Walt) learning to use their powers for the island's benefit. Perhaps Desmond will replace Eloise Hawking's role as temporal protector, or whatever (if he can do it without returning to the island). I imagine that Jacob had to and now Hugo would have to step in subtly to prevent nuclear war. It might be interesting to see Hugo pass the torch a hundred years later, or so. Likewise it might be interesting 20+ years on to see King Elessar assemble his forces to take on minor conflicts with the Easterlings and Southrons. Though perilous like the Battle of the Shire, the outcome would not be in doubt without a Dark Lord to coordinate their forces and combine with orcs, trolls and others. And it doesn't make sense to see a new Dark Lord rise that soon.

So if they cancel the food drops... what are they eating on the island? Are they going back to the boar and fruit diet? - and does Room 23 explain what happened to the Tailies, I never liked that there was no clear answer on that. Those kids, Zach and Emma, they had a mother in LA... you telling me they were simply brainwashed and forgot about her? I didn't like that, maybe Cindy and the others but the kids should have been rescued...
@tratixmusic8884
3 жыл бұрын
They probably get food another way. It was implied in the finale that hurley would remove the rule about not leaving the island. So they don't need to waste someone's time sending food. Or some other way. You say the kids should have been rescued. How? Ben didn't let anyone leave as per Jacob. It was extremely limited and he usually tried to prevent it. They weren't around for the helicopter when the oceanic 6 got off. And they weren't around for plane in the final episode. For all we know, they desperately wanted to leave. But they couldn't. Just like almost everyone else. This video doesn't explain what happened to them. The Dharma Initiative used room 23 for experiments as explained in this video. But it's a bit more than just having amnesia. It's brainwashing. And it wouldn't be the first time that the orientation videos don't explain everything. The kids and cindy didn't seem to be brain washed. Just in acceptance with what is happening or at least just going along with the ride. Regardless, that doesn't mean that the Others used it for the same purpose. We see that they used it for Alex's boyfriend (I forget his name). Presumably to brainwash him to make him compliant. And that was used more as a last resort since he was first locked in a cage. We didn't see the tailies not be compliant so I wouldn't assume they were brainwashed. And I believe in one of the webepisodes, they were using it for experiments with walt. Another thing is they could have just accepted what was happening. Cindy knew who Jacob was. At least that it was significant that he was dead. Which implies she was also following what the Others did. The kids don't talk so we can't know what is going on in their minds. But they are young, which makes it even easier to get them to follow. From what we see with the brain washing, this wouldn't be the case since it seems more tied to how you treat others and life. Everyone that Jacob brought to the island didn't have anything worth living for off the island. This would probably include cindy and the kids. And the people that the Others took were deemed as good people because they would be given a better life. Or at least that's what the Others said. So it's plausible they just accepted this new life.
@sandal_thong8631
Жыл бұрын
I think the kids and Cindy were just there to say, "Hey, we know how bad you people are, so are taking these three because they are not safe around you" and to create a reason for conflict, like kidnapping Walt off the raft. If they want to go home, Hugo can probably work out a way. But maybe the kids (and Cindy) didn't come from a "happy existence," either? Why Hugo wasn't on the list to join the Others is beyond me. Maybe they were going to recruit him, when they had him on the dock, but had second thoughts when they saw how big he was?

They could have set it up as a trust fund in case anything happened. Or Jacob could have told Richard with his company that recruited Juliet (or Charles Widmore) to fund it so they'd keep pressing the button. Apparently Widmore encouraged Desmond to sail in his race around the world so he'd get to the island, push the button, and maybe get supercharged with EM radiation.

You see them leave the island multiple times, by helicopter, submarine and the wheel. Why Walt is special, my theory, he is the next permanent Jacob, since Hurley died. Also Walt is special because he's the only alive person that other see on the island, without being there like the whispers.
@morgana1962

Walt is special because he can talk to the deads and he can help them moving on. Thats why Hurley and Ben took him from the mental hospital to help his father who needed extra help to move on.

Apart for the fact that as mentioned here in practice many left the island and came back all the time throughout the series, in the last episode Hurley tells Ben nobody can leave the island and Ben tells him that this was the way Jacob used to run things but maybe Hurley can find a better way. So apparently, he did. And Walt is special because of all the supernatural things he can do or in other words the writers set him up to be special for whole two seasons but the actor grew up too quickly before they could think of a reason why he is, so... he just is... don't worry about it.
