It brings tears to my eyes. I am in my 80’s and thought that all was lost, but now I have hope for the future if my grandchildren. Bless this man who brought this hope into my last days. I think that I can rest in peace now.

I am soon to turn 74. I grew up in a time like this, when family was the most important part of my life. We laughed, we played together, and we cried together. Now there is only 4 or 5 in our entire family that still chat now and then. I am sorry to say, that the others are gone and the remaining never see each other, we just speak on the cell phone. I feel the only reason families don't connect these days is because they found the "Cell Phone" and other Tech Stuff that came into this world took our ability to converse and made it so much easier to pretend we are someone we are not.

This poem always makes me tear up. It’s so very powerful with the reverse twist in the end. And it wonderfully exposes an interesting characteristic of language and grammar. A sentence isn’t finished until the last word is uttered. And that last word has the power to change the sensus / meaning of the whole sentence. What does that reveal about the way consiousness is structured?

That is very much like one I found on Fb several years ago, attributed to "Unknown." I used it with my young clients at the time and I've shared it with family and friends. I made a poster of it and entitled it "Flip the Script". Like this Palindrome Poem (which is actually a misnomer, but the idea is a good one), you read it top to bottom and then, bottom to top. I hope you all enjoy it as well. It reads like this: Today was the absolute worst day ever And donʻt try to convince me that Thereʻs something good in every day Because, when you take a closer look, This world is a pretty evil place. Even if Some goodness does shine through once in a while Satisfaction and happiness donʻt last. And itʻs not true that Itʻs all in the mind and heart Because True happiness can be obtained Only if oneʻs surroundings are good Itʻs not true that good exists Iʻm sure you can agree that The reality Creates My attitude Itʻs all beyond my control. And youʻll never in a million years hear me say that Today was a good day.

Very clever but I can see why he won second place. He did not read his palindrome poem exactly backward. Looking at 1:55 on the video, he read "I do not concede that 30 years from now, I will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of my divorce." That is not how it is read backward.

I am a desperate and despair person and i refuse to believe that people love me. I realize this may be a shock, but people believe in me and its a lie, they were meaningless. In 30 years, i will tell my children that i have my priorities straight because death is more important than life. I tell you this: Once upon a time i loved life But this will not be true in my era, i should want to give up, Experts tell me i am useless, i do not conclude that i should want to live. In the future i will not try, no longer can it be said that i am a good person, it will be evidence that i am a bad person. Its foolish to presume that people love me and all of this will come true unless we reverse it. This is mine i wrote, some parts aren’t perfect but i think its pretty good
