Look forward to hering what you think about the bean bag.. I love mine in the 6'0" 45 Litres. Also keen to hear about the uber XL.. I have an Uber but that's on the low end of my volume. Also ave a standard puddle jumper in the slim dims that's 6'2" 43 litres the extra length and lack of a tail wing helps.

Bean bag review coming soon. Uber XL will be later. The custom order is not due to arrive for a couple of weeks. We surf the same volume boards. I'll be interested to hear what you think of my bean bag review.

Big Guy Boards nice :) feel free to hit me up on Instagram message if you want to compare thoughts on boards. Think I'm something like go_surf_nz .. I found my lib tech puddle jumper good but a little hit and miss. Prefer the normal one without the wings in the tail. It's less sensitive to foot position. Have you tried a seaside? You might like that and the 5'11" 41 litres will out paddle and go much faster than the 5'11" puddle jumper 👍

I agree. I buckled my 1st libtech. Surfing at Fort Point on a small day. But i believe in their product that i bought 2 more. But the worst is its fin box. Both of my 2 year old board had issues with the box. I was told by my repair guy that they have low quality fin box and he showed me the difference side by side. Don’t buy it. I warned you.

Have you considered the puddle jumper rounded pin? Looks like a good all rounder

Looks like a great board. I'm just getting into rounded pins for all conditions, so definitely worth a look

How’s the feel and flex on the lib tech construction compared to PU? Also heard that the L techs can brittle and people have found they can crack across the deck easier than PUs. Very pressure dent resistant though...

For me it's a middle ground between epoxy and PU. I didn't have any issues with durability

Big Guy Boards Surfboard Review Thanks....I’ve ridden most of the eps constructions over the years going back to the Salomon boards after the original surf techs.....I like eps/epoxy and they’ve definitely come on since back in the day but I’ve recently jumped back on PU and they always feel good....I’m thinking about the Lost Swordfish and have only seen it in Libtech...not sure whether to go for it after riding PU for the last few months...

@@mjstatic77 I tend to stick with PU as its easy to repair and not prone to cracks and occasional snaps. I also prefer the feel of PU, but it's such a personal thing

What are the dimensions of the puddle jumper or just the length would suffice.

Hi, great review, I've been surfing a longboard all year but looking to come down to something smaller that will fit in the car. Id like something which paddles into waves easy lets me pop up similar to my longboard and is similarly forgiving. Would you say this is a good board for that? I'm 6ft 84kg. Generally going to be surfing thigh to head high. Many thanks, great channel 👍😆

Possibly a similar shape to this, or a high volume fish. Whatever you get, make sure you pack in a lot of volume. Foam is your friend. Especially when transitioning down from a longboard.

@@BigGuyBoardsSurfshop Hi thanks for your reply, infact I've just watched your review on the Lost Hydra, loved the look of the board, do you think this might be a better fit for what I'm looking for?

Same conclusions then you almost about the wave range, i own the same board but im at 88kilos same heigth , speed perception is different for me i find it slow compared to my hypto clone, on steep and close out the pj is slippery, there almost no hold due to the bigger rail, you can compensate a little bit with thruster hold . The lb pj doesnt like steep take off, wedgy or hollow wave as you get a slingshot effect which make the take off pretty technical, i found with dvs quad keel you can compensate lack of speed but it make the board even more sliperry which isnt good. Best setup i found is indo fins nexus quad, or scarfini hx3 ml quad as they dont have any drag, the rear quad on nexus is a 50\50foil that is a boat anchor to calm down the slippery effect of keels like front. Im constantly trying fin setup with this board. I wonder sometime if i didnt toke it overvolumed !

Some interesting and excellent analysis of the board. I haven't had a chance to experiment with fins yet. I also found the back end quite loose, which I liked in the smaller stuff. I wonder if this is due to the wing?

@@BigGuyBoardsSurfshop wing can help for sure as it reducing the width, V and hard rail ( when the rail is squared at the bottom) even more.

Wouldnt a pjhp be a better high performance groveler? But would prob strugglr even more to get it goin i guess

I found the PJ only started to work in around chest high conditions - at which point I would use something like an UBER XL to get more vertical. I'm guessing the PJHP would need a better wave
