Welcome to Another Train Spotting Video, I am at a wet Lostwithiel Station on the Cornish Mainline between Bodmin Parkway and Par. Here we see Local Services & High Speed Services by Great Western Railway & one High Speed Service operated by Cross Country.
Mainly Local Stopping Services stop at this station with occassional High Speed Services making a stop at Lostwithiel. On a Typical Monday to Friday Timetable, Lostwithiel Station see 46 Services stopping at this Station. It has been a nearly a year since I last visited this station and I wanted to get a freight train either going north or South or going to Fowey for the China Clay, and sure enough I was able to film the freight train arriving in, getting shunted and then heading down track to Fowey. I really enjoyed my time at Loswithiel with Semaphores Signals and Signal box still in use, it's always great to here noises from the signal box working like clock work. Semaphores Signalling will still be in place at many stations till 2026 when they will be replaced with newer signalling systems. Also Lostwithiel Station got funded £20 million for accessibility improvements. You can find out more by visiting this website below.
