To I would have followed you into the fires of mordor", "there is always hope" and "your men have died defending it, they still defend it!" Many others as well, some give me chills when I rewatch. I wasn't familiar with Viggo Mortensen before LOTR, but I am now. He's quite simply a brilliant actor, who can play a stalwart Ranger in one movie, a cowboy in another, a Russian gangster in yet another, and Sigmund Freud in yet another. He also looks eerily like my late husband (who got a lot of funny looks walking down the street when LOTR came out, and spoke Finnish, which is the language on which Tolkien based Elvish, so he didn't need to read most of the subtitles in LOTR to understand what was going on) and I kind of wonder what the reaction would be if those two had ever met.

What will always amaze me of projects like LotR and HP is how these people came in there as strangers and came out as somewhat of a family. Having had all these moments and experiences between them. The hardships and joys. I think that is very poetic and beautiful in and of itself but also a testament to the greatness of the directors to bring these people together and create timeless art. I cannot fathom a greater legacy.
