Yeah. I don't know where she is or where she's from, but based on her accent, and the 'ij' in her name, she may in fact be Norwegian, or at least Scandinavian, so Norse mythology shouldn't be too alien to her. Of course Marvel Comics/MCU version isn't the same as historical Norse mythology. For one, the "Warriors Three" were made up for the comics. And Loki isn't Thor's brother; he's actually blood-brother to Odin. But yes, Norse mythology is full of stories about the fights between Thor and Loki.

"Nobody even knew that he [Odin] was dead and he's [Loki] already sitting on the throne?" Yes, that's how monarchies work. As the great philosopher Terry Pratchett once wrote, "The only thing known to go faster than ordinary light is monarchy, according to the philosopher Ly Tin Wheedle. He reasoned like this: you can't have more than one king, and tradition demands that there is no gap between kings, so when a king dies the succession must therefore pass to the heir instantaneously. Presumably, he said, there must be some elementary particles -- kingons, or possibly queons -- that do this job, but of course succession sometimes fails if, in mid-flight, they strike an anti-particle, or republicon. His ambitious plans to use his discovery to send messages, involving the careful torturing of a small king in order to modulate the signal, were never fully expanded because, at that point, the bar closed."

Fun reaction. You found Stan Lee, indeed. There was another cameo that I would note, because I am a fan of the writer. The Guy who discovers Mjölnir - and tries to lift the hammer - in the desert is played by writer J. Michael Straczynski. Straczynski has a writing (idea) credit for the film which is loosely built around a run of the Thor comic that he wrote. He also wrote a full space opera TV series called Babylon 5 (I love that one to bits) which is a 5 year long story arc - he wrote 92 out of the 110 episodes. I enjoy this movie quite a bit myself, along with the other Thor movies. Do not forget that in Norse mythology Loki is the trickster god.

This is what made everyone love & sympathize with Loki especially those that have siblings always feeling overlooked, not good enough, used, cast aside not loved enough made fun of. Tom really sold it I really felt for him Odin was bad father even in the comics although Thor was his favorite son Loki was Frigga's favorite. But despite what they went through Loki & Thor share a bond that can never be broken not by anyone they do love each other Chris & Tom's chemistry is just electric & to think Tom tried out for Thor but they felt he was better suited as Loki. Loki is everything rolled into one he's smart, strong, stealthy, cunning, smooth, suave, sophisticated, intelligent (Yes I said he was smart twice because he 's uses his brain rather than brawn) brains always triumphs over strength, can talk his way out of anything note why he's called the silver tongue. Odin secretly knows Loki is more capable of ruling than Thor but he knows the Asgardians would never accept Loki as their king I think some of the Asgardins would because all Thor cares about his smashing things, being brash, hunger for battle & his friends are assholes in my rule book. Odin sees more of himself in Loki even Odin knows using intelligence will go further than using brute force. But Loki was by far the best in this movie & onward I'm really happy Tom Hiddleston was cast as the trickster god it did wonders for his career.

Thor's story arc/ character development in this movie is incredible. Personally one of the most underrated character arc made in a single movie. At the start of the movie, he started out as an arrogant boy, seeking for fight as he believed very strongly in his powers. This led to his friends' getting hurt and could have started a war that would have killed many lives. Through the movie he learns the true meaning of having power and how it should be used, and learns to admit his mistakes such as apologising to Loki in the SHIELD facility. This development is shown again when he sacrifices himself to save the innocent against the destroyer, and when he destroys the bridge and sacrifice his chance of seeing Jane again for saving countless numbers of lives, even though they were the frost giants', the ones that he tried to kill at the start of the movie.
@kinDevil00

The reason that Loki destroys Jotunheim is because he himself hates the fact that his a frost giant, and he tries to prove to himself as an asgardian by killing Laufy, his original father, destroying Jotunheim, his original home planet, and denying his origin. This makes the conversation at the end with Odin (I could have done it! for you! no, Loki.) make much more sense.
