Rewatching these episodes in 2019 it's amazing how we haven't learned anything.

Really feel like watching some of those commercials that are skipped over. Grateful to uploader for skipping but also the ads are anthropologically very interesting.

This episode also is quite realistc. In Italy, Swizzerland and France a couple of fancy hotels have the same infamous reputation I love the hitchcock -like style the episode was done in

Nice speech, yet most businesses are some type of mob. The Italians, Russians, Mexicans and some others are just more visible. I am 60 and have seen enough.

I don't like to get into culture war debates about which media I think is most worthy of trust . People have strong opinions on that these days . I will say this though ....the media I trust most is not as ethical in their reporting as Lou Grant ....Grant wants to deliver the facts to you form sufficiently so that the opinion you for is unbiased and well informed . Media these days fall short of that , even the one I consume . I think it would be best if media did not try to bias people but in lieu of that , understanding and identifying bias in reporting is the consumers best effort .

There is an episode of Mary Tyler Moore Show (season 7 episode 23… Lou Dates Mary) where Mary asks Lou out on a date - they do go on at least one date.

@@gwenniegirl50 - I do remember that episode. I remeber the date didn't really work out. They realzied they were just Business friends. This was after Lou and Mary kissed. By the way, it has been 3 yers since this Commnet so I don't remember this Video or my Comment. But this is the wonder of YOuTube. You never know when people will make a reply to your comments.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I've been watching a lot of these episodes lately and I get rather annoyed at Lou always being so self-righteous. He seems to take the moral high ground all the time, even over Charlie and Mrs. Pynchon...I don't know, it takes some of the interest out of the character for me if he's always "right" and I start to almost want him to get a comeuppance.
