my uncle al told me all about lou reed he lived in newyork where he saw lou in concertmany times and my friend dane turned me on to lous rock and roll animal album. thats the first time i heard his music i can hear every part in my head when i think of it . now. my uncle Al and my friend Dane have passed away. id like to think their all in heaven with lou listening to some of lous good music god i miss them all may god take care of them in heaven i pray

When I hear this, I think about getting lost down on Riverside Drive in Baltimore, in the marshes. My wife had just died at UBMC. Our baby; she was just 11mo. old. It was desolate and beautiful. Looking over at the Key Bridge, I stopped put my head down and despair took hold...

i have a biological father. he was a doctor of natural science. he was a chief forensic. i live my biological father. and i have a spiritual father who encouraged me to pick up a guitar, write some lyrics, to come out and perform them. his name is lou. so i am gifted with two extraordinary fathers. both of them have passed away. but they are still alive to me.

i wonder why he didnt see more success with his music when he was alive? like deep purple i think people should really turn on to his material it is really great and very underappreciated. he's a truly talented singer songwriter and musician. also one of the grand dads of punk.

See how they're all sitting facing each other - and we get to look in over their shoulders? My brother produced a series of concerts under the title, "The San Francisco Song Cycle" - and that was his approach, too. Those were gatherings of song-makers talking with and playing for each other - and we got to listen in.

Lou seemed to know his time was short doing this song. This blues song reminds me of a similar song Warren Zevon recorded on his final album "The Wind", I forgot the title.
