When I was 5 years old I was sick with the flu. My mother bought me a 45 record of Louis Armstrong. It had "Twas the night before Christmas" on one side and "When the saints go marching in" on the flip side. That was 50 years ago. I no longer have the record but I still have the memories. MUSIC IS MAGICAL!

When heard this wonderful song today I nearly had to cry because I remembered my childhood in the early sixtees and my now dead mother. Records at that time still were rare and special and she enjoyed the music of that time especially the pieces from SATCHMO which made her dance and feel happy and young and I can still remember her happy face.

Hi, Helena Silva, J E W E L B R O W N ! WOW! Although Louis Armstrong is my favorite entertainer of all time (or at least one of them), the one who stole this show IS J E W E L B R O W N , THAT LADY WITH THE MOST GORGEOUS LOOKS AND TALENT. Her voice! I fell in love with it, and with her! Well, God bless her, she's still around and just 79 years of age. Born August 30, 1937 in Houston, Texas. She's a jazz and blues singer (oh, what a voice! And her killer looks! She's so, so attractive and sexy in the video! WOW!). In 1971 she retired to look after members of her ailing family. She later also opened a hair salon in Houston. In recent years she did return to singing, for instance in the Heritage Hall Jazz Band....

eis eks Well that's a cute Lil message for 2016, but incase you are unaware, america has a race problem and it was even more intense back then. This video is more than 60 years old, so it was very rare for the time. That was what my comment meant, incase you misunderstood. Maybe if we had a time machine you could go back and spread your message of musical inclusion, and then there would have been no need for my message today 😕

Yesssirr. The secret to their longevity was they were humble and true, and never forgot where they came from, or who they were.And most of all, they always treated people right. I was born and raised right here in St.Louis, Missouri. My Mom was born and raised in Louisiana. Mr.Armstrong introduced "Jazz", first to " polite" society playing on the Riverboats sailing from New Orleans to Minnesota in the 1920's. This world is 100% better because of "Louie" and his spirit is still being felt here in St. Louis and all along the Mississippi River more than 100 years later!

You can love someone's style, beauty, swag, personality and a whole lot more without it being sexual. This is why people think they are homosexuals (searching for what is not lost) because people get love confused with lurve! If you are a homosexual, you don't need to search for it or be uncertain. You just simply are and know! Sexuality is a bit like marmalade and some only like it on special occasions.

@@magyar9479 why does everything have to be offensive
@pokemasterlink2701
2 жыл бұрын
@@magyar9479 Often times, black singers have a very characteristic voice. Louis Armstrong's voice is very exeggerated, but they tend to sing louder and with more throat that classical white opera singers. But black soparnos (or trained singers in general) can switch between a very "throaty" voice to very clear notes in the blink of an eye, like she did in this recording.
