A true advocate and public servant who hasn’t received anything close to the recognition she deserves (but doesn’t desire). What a loss for parliament.

An excellent interview with Luisa Wall, someone who has achieved a great deal despite a lack of recognition by the Labour Caucus and ultimately within the wider Labour Party. There are many New Zealanders who will have cause to be grateful for her dedication and empathy, achieving changes that will have long term impacts for the better. Thanks Luisa.

I'm appreciative of the fact that Louisa voted in support of Chloe Swarbrick's bill to allow medical cannabis. Many labor MP's only supported access for people with less than 12 months to live or supported the current regime that only helps rich people. Marriage reform was also a winner for everyone. I wish Louisa well. 🙂

Interesting to hear Louisa talking about New Zealand's motivation to strive for good China relations, having been partially the hope to contribute to the "democratisation" of China, ironically at a time when the Labour Government is dismantling democracy in New Zealand.

What a principled politician, And a loss for the Labour Party and parliament. I fear that Jacinda’s legacy may be tarnished by her behaviour and autocratic way of working behind the scenes…my way or the highway. I would certainly have voted for an MP like Louisa Wall.

Regarding the China comments; New Zealand can and must air it's views and concerns on issues that they feel is important. We must also be pragmatic; NZ is minute compared to China but our trade with them is huge for us. We must not endanger that. We can be like the Australians and make a big deal in the media of China's shortcomings and risk losing the golden goose, or we can be a little more diplomatic about our differences.
