Louise died so unexpectedly at 90 years of age. She always said there was no need to become ill in old age and that she would go to sleep and leave the planet healthy. I miss you Louise ❤️🌈😇

Once she starts tapping with her own affirmations - it's like Jimmy Hendrix getting handed a guitar, Ali handed some gloves, Bruce Lee given some time to spar, Spielberg given a movie camera, Paganini given a violin to play - suddenly the whole energy shifts and you're watching an absolute MASTER at work - simply amazing.... amazing!

I really want to meet Nick Ortner and Louise Hay and let them know that THIS video right here has led me to the forgiveness of my mom and step dad for a history of abuse that started at a young age.. I've tried SO many different self-help strategies, but when I emulate this exact tapping solution and speak the things she says, I suddenly remember all the painful memories and I feel them being released.. To say the least, this video has saved my life. And I watch it frequently for continued healing. THANK YOU.

@@dilipaloni While I sincerely appreciate / overstand where you're coming from, I also feel that for me it was more loving and personally powerful for me to redirect my energy into releasing anger I held forgiving toward the "perpetrator". In fact, I felt I would be doing myself willful injustce by giving THAT person even more of my energy. I feel so much better for having let all that go. Its a moment by moment process that enables me to take back my power and choose to move on. I choose where to invest my energy. I choose to forgive because, to be mean to another indicates to me that that person is already in a dark and painful place. I bid you peace because i get what youre saying.

In the beginning Nick asked why she thought her book was so successful. The only thing I can come up with is Louise had nothing but pure intentions when she authored the book. She was not looking for big money nor fame nor any kind of fancy prize; just a simple wanting to truly help people as best as she could. Keep up the good work Louise.
Awww..I miss Louise Hay her book changed my life and really healed me in so many ways...my gratitude to her...

At around 3:13 Nick asks why Louise thinks people are scared to look at the dirt. She doesn't answer directly, but affirms that she has experienced being scared of looking at the dirt. I think that this fear comes from the usual place (the very basic fear of pain) because in tapping, we confront our reality, which is often full of painful feelings. For me, I often procrastinate with tapping because I just *know* there are a lot of painful things that will come up (I am still processing some old traumas), and that I'll probably cry through it. I do almost always feel better afterwards - but sometimes it takes a while for me to feel better, and in the meantime I have all these feelings which can be difficult to bear. This is such an amazing conversation. I love that Louise says "It's safe to feel safe" - something that will probably give people who have had trauma much relief to affirm.

Why not 'tap' on other parts of the body, like the Heart, Thymus, Liver, Reproductive areas, Intestines, Kidneys, etc? Why limit it to the head and shoulder areas? When I tap on my heart, a myriad of insights flood in! HUGE INSIGHTS SHOW UP.

First time I taught my best friend she began following my lead Even though I don't feel safe..., then she stopped and said what I'm really feeling is disappointment in myself. Regarding your question, I can only refer to my personal experience, but having used tapping for many years, I've found that I do not need to speak the phrases out loud, but I do need to speak them in my mind with focus and intent. I feel it's best to start with the processes outlined in the various tapping books and videos. Then, once proficient, one can begin experimenting.

Actually, no, EFT does not stem from NLP, although Gary Craig incorporated some of that work into his material. He fully acknowledges that he learned the method of tapping on acupuncture points from Roger Callahan, Ph.D., the founder of Thought Field Therapy, which is the original meridian tapping method. Gary took all of Dr. Callahan's extensive trainings and then added certain other concepts to develop his EFT method.

The beginnings of EFT stem from the field of NLP. Fascinating stuff for those who 'want' to know. I have been using this for years and find it ridiculously simple. We get on with our lives and forget and then when I remember, Oh! EFT! then it's gone within a short period of time again.
