Jocelyn Square, Halleluiah Man and Strange Kind of Love from Love And Money represents the pinnacle of my music experience of more than 40 years listening (loving) music. Top Quality in every aspect, composition, arrangements, playing performance, rythm, great recording and mixdown, the voice of James Grant so clear, so tuned, so perfect... the most inspired guitar solos are here too. Every sound selected is pure genius like the snare drum and or the bass drum ... this stopped to seems strange to me when i realized that Jeff Porcaro played the drums. Halleluiah Man is one of the all time best albums ever. Love and Money is one of the most underrated bands in the music history. Cheers.-

Sensational band - Strange Kind of Love is an album which transcends expectations of what good music and talent are all about. Timeless brilliance where each song and musicality grab you by the roots of your senses and takes you to the house of sheer excellence. If I’m ever asked to go on “Desert Islands Discs” ( unlikely)’ I’m taking 2 copies of this in case I break one!

After hearing this album I wrote to the band asking if they had any plans to tour Australia. I got a reply from James Grant which shocked me but what he wrote shocked me even more. James does a cracking acoustic version of this at the moment with the Hallelujah Strings. He's told the story a few times in concert how this song came about. If I can paraphrase - he was on the Castlemilk to Glasgow bus and spotted the street name sign from the window of the bus. He thought it had a 'poetic' quality about it. As others have noted it is a street just next to the Sheriff Court in Glasgow - a bit past the bridge on the old High Street.
