A lot of it had to do with genetics/no preservatives in food, which didn't stunt growth/aging appearance. With the 80s and 90s in particular, Women for some reason were really into auntie looking conturing/makeup, and hair the same. With men, the guy in the first segment, is going for the grandpa rocker glam look for some reason, which makes him look older. But guys also dressed kinda older, like in the 80s and 90s you saw more younger guys dressing formal/wearing suit jackets and stuff, so yeah. Just my own theory.

My grandma made Whoopie pies when I was a kid. When Chuck mentioned making whoopie I legit thought they were making whoopie pies 😂. Those pies are really good it seemed plausible from a naive kid perspective.

How is it that the audience almost always picks the same person as the guest? Was everything scripted in the 80’s too or is the beauty standard so different from today’s? I would’ve chosen the 3rd girl on the first one bc she’s clearly the prettiest but I guess not by the standard of those times? Very confusing.

It’s not about who’s the prettiest. Listen to the people and think about who’d be the best match.
