I love getting to see the landscape behind you for wherever you are. So many of the campgrounds you’ve stayed at all look quite similar from the inside of the van, it’s nice to really see how different all these places are! Obviously this requires favorable weather conditions to pull it off so it won’t always be realistic for all the vlogs. But if the weather is nice and you don’t have nearby campers to worry about, please know this is fun to see! :)

It occurs to me that the Musselburgh hat would be perfect for colorwork as the floats would be sandwiched safely between the inner and outer hat. You could have one side be colorwork and use some kind of stitch patterns on the other side for texture and have two completely different hats. Cool idea. When I do a toboggan hat with a hemmed brim, especially when I use colorwork, I do a Turkish cast on using two separate circular needles instead of doing a provisional cast on or fooling with picking up stitches. I knit what will be the inside of the hem in 1 x 1 rib and then change to stockinette for the "brim" of the hat that will be visible from the outside. It's then so simple to pull that bottom needle up, hold the two circular needles side by side and then take a stitch from each needle and k2tog to "sew" the hem. That way you can put a band of color work around the bottom of the hat, but the ribbing on the inside keeps the hat firmly on your head and provides a double layer of warmth over your ears -- plus it hides your floats.
