Truly one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. Not only did he play with James Brown as his bass player, he morphed funk into it's next incarnation with Parliament, Funkadelic and Bootsy's Rubber Band. Then picked up the next generation by co- producing the Tom Tom Club with George Clinton and producing Deelight to kick off the nineties. Bootsy's a bad bad boy!!!!!

This is the great Bootsy Collins....Iconic bassist and member of Parliament Funkadelic. George Clinton's wingman and at time co-songwriter. What you are hearing is some sick a$$ bass and Bootsy's laidback, too cool vocals on the verse. This is a CLASSIC funk joint. Booty's solo stuff is elite, but also check him out on "P. Funk (Wants to Get Funked Up)" and "Mothership Connection (Star Child)." His bass licks are all over those records.....He also appeared on Dee-Lite's "Groove Is In The Heart".

It is there where they went to school and perfected FUNK and later expressed themselves with Parliament Funkadelic through George Clinton.
