I live in Bumf**k, Wisconsin, and at local bar/restaurants, the staff tell me they like it when I come in and hog the jukebox because I play this and all kinds of old gems that we've forgotten about! I get to play DJ in my little pond. :)

@@nancyhenderson1244 The lead singer is the same. (But with an 80's mullet). No way the guy on the left is an original member. He would have been 5 years old in 1967. And they're lip-syncing to the original recording. .

@@NelsonMontana1234 Yes, in this newer video they are lip-syncing the original recording. If you are fascinated by rare guitars, note two differences in this video over the 1964 black & white video. kzitem.info/news/bejne/mKiOzoyCrIB7f20 The big difference is the front man is playing a Burns Bison bass guitar in the black & white video. This IMO is the coolest looking bass guitar ever made, with the 3 chrome bars crossing over the lower pickup. Other than this video, I know of no pictures on the web of an original Burns / Bison bass guitar. All that is available are photos the of 30th anniversary reproduction. Burns also made six string electrics, with one photo on the web of a 4 pickup model. That has to be the rarest of the rare. The Burns / Bison bass reproduction was limited to 1,000 guitars that came with a certificate of authenticity, all numbered consecutively. Burns guitars had some variations that you will note in various photos, showing a Burns / Baldwin designation, and a Burns / London designation. Apparently these were the result of various changes in ownership or model offerings? It appears that Burns made their own pickups, or had them made to their specs. Perhaps the second coolest looking bass is the Vox bass guitar played by the Who's bass player on the Smother's Brothers TV show, when Vox sponsored all the guitars and amps for that show; The Who played "This Is My Generation". The other difference is, in the color video, the lead player is using a 12 string, where in the black & white video, the lead and rhythm guitars are 6 string guitars.

@@tompastian3447 Cool stuff. I love those old wacky guitars from the 60's. An example of my obsession here: kzitem.info/news/bejne/upljvoydiImFfZw Though I doubt the BB bass was used on the Love Potion #9 recording. That was probably a studio guy and the Precision was the only game in town in those situations.
