I've been trying to find this song for years, to no avail. My grandmother gave me a music box that played this song, and I used to fall asleep to it. The music box was misplaced in several moves, and she passed two years ago, so believe me when I say I just broke into tears. I thank you, with all of my heart, for posting this.

So, about six years ago my dad and I went to Italy for holidays and we were staying at this old mansion and in the room I slept was this music box, shaped like a piano and it had some space for I suppose jewelry in it, from the inside it looked like it was velvet, the rest was more or less transparent. I remember sitting outside and playing that music box over and over again. When e left my dad had asked the owner about the music box and he said he didn’t need it and we could have it, if we wanted. Here we are 6 years later and that music box still has its place on my windowsill.

There is no more intenseness than the sorrow sound of the cry of the violin and then the forgiving sound of the piano.
This is a story told by music... The moments of despair and sorrow are told by the violin. The moments of joy and pleasure are told by the piano. They need each other, like the yin-yang.

The song is called (Where Do I Begin) Love Story It was an instrumental theme in the 1970 film Love Story. The lyrics were added after the theme music became popular. It was originally sung by Andy Williams. Where do I begin To tell the story of how great a love can be The sweet love story that is older than the sea The simple truth about the love she brings to me Where do I start With her first hello She gave new meaning to this empty world of mine There'd never be another love, another time She came into my life and made the living fine She fills my heart She fills my heart with very special things With angels' songs , with wild imaginings She fills my soul with so much love That anywhere I go I'm never lonely With her around, who could be lonely I reach for her hand-it's always there How long does it last Can love be measured by the hours in a day I have no answers now but this much I can say I know I'll need her till the stars all burn away And she'll be there How long does it last Can love be measured by the hours in a day I have no answers now but this much I can say I know I'll need her till the stars all burn away And she'll be there

An empty ballroom, covered in dust, the tables long lost under the covers of white sheets, and two long lost lovers, reunited at last, dancing to the tune of the faint music that once echoed loudly against these walls, knowing it will be their last time seeing one another. A hand in hand, that familiar feeling of warmth and closeness, the perfume again lingering under his nose, sweet scent of roses, brings back memories, those precious memories of the time lost under the heavy weight of the years. "I will always love you.", he whispers, "I never forgot you." A sparkly diamond slid down her cheek as she sighed heavily. "I know..."

It's called a piece, btw. Since it never had lyrics to begin with, and a song without words/lyrics is called a minus one (or an instrumental version). But still, I agree that music such as these convey emotions, actually, I think it conveys it more clearly and it hits you directly rather than songs.

The first time I heard this song was through a music box I was given at 16. I was going through a very hard time and ended up going to live for awhile with family friends, and she gave me the music box. This song has been my favorite since then, and the way it cuts through me is just as sharp as it did the first time I heard it.

This song is such an apt description of love. The feeling of Love has a darker energy than one would expect. When I try to describe love in a physical form, all I can see is a room covered only in soft things. the walls are made of down, the bed and pillows as well. the blanket is pure velvet. Everything is in dark tones, blacks and dark, mahogany wood browns mixed with crimson and velvet, and highlighted or embroidered with golds and silvers. Love feels more akin to sadness than happiness when you're deep in it. it's like you're deep on the floor of the ocean, but it's warm. you don't drown, but you can't breathe either.

The music feels like it's melting my insides slowly but sweetly, like trying to run away from the notes to only fall deeper into it's trap. Like honey slowly dripping through your fingers or slowly dancing up to the top of a mountain, it makes me want to stroll deeper into the dangerous forests, and as I am entranced, CLICK! I am ensnared in another world where this music lives, and I can never come back... That is the way I express my love for music, slowly but sweetly I will close my eyes and fall into a deep, musical slumber...

Ich hab den Film vor über 50 Jahren mit meiner Mutter im Kino gesehen. Dann nie mehr, aber die Musik ist mir im Kopf geblieben. Ich höre sie noch immer gerne.

Hello from 1 year in the future, there is a relatively decent beginners violin on Amazon for about 70usd. Made of hardwood and everything. It doesn't have a set tone that it sits in, meaning it doesn't have a sweet, soft, warm, full, ect tone to it. it is good for a beginner just learning violin. I didn't buy one off amazon I bought my version from a guy on craigslist and it is beautiful and amazing. Here is the link for the violin: www.amazon.com/Mendini-MV-White-Violin-Shoulder-Strings/dp/B004Z2NTPC Here is a link to a professional violinist reviewing it: kzitem.info/news/bejne/tISdtIx3ql-qi3Y

C'est l'histoire de ma vie, de mon éternel amour, de celle avec qui j'ai vécu 31 années de bonheur et que je viens de perdre à l'âge de 52 ans. Cela fait 12 jours et elle me manque
