Do you know what it really takes to love yourself? Do you know how to love yourself more?
When we don't love and value ourselves, we make choices based on how we feel about ourselves, and the outcome of low or no self love often contributes to high anxiety, stress, loneliness, depression, unemployment, broken relationships and divorce, as well as alcohol and drug abuse.
It should be easier to love ourselves, but it is actually a life long process for millions of us who grew up feeling alone and unloved, unseen or just ignored, or worse -- hurt and damaged by the adults who were supposed to love and nurture us.
To love ourselves, and/or love ourselves more, we need to understand how our childhood stories affected us, and then we need to implement daily and life long strategies that reinforce and demand self love, in all we do and from the people who surround us.
This episode describes psychological concepts, self love exercise, and practical advice-- based upon years of research, and years of daily work with clients in therapy, as well as through my life and experiences, both personal and professional.
